Topic: MW round 42 review

Starting this thread so we can have some time before next round starts to review this round and so we can make changes for the next round for stuff that wasnt good.

We are planning to start up a thread like this before the end of the round from now on so people can voice their opinions on fam size and numbers of fams, number of systems etc.

So if people have any remarks or maybe improvement ideas please post them here and we will evaluate it later and try to implement as much as possible for next round of MW

Fix the Wardancer and at least make it a playable race. The unique races is what makes this game. 1 of the 5 premade races are never played. Thats absurd. So PLEASE fix them. Here is the link to my idea to improve them. Im not saying my idea has to be the way they are fixed. Its a springboard for ideas.

make the galaxy smaller? (instead of bigger each round...)

100+ averange planets per player is just stupid

or rename the game imperial exploratione

umm we cant change this round much when it comes to fam size and how many families becuz it is a stay in family round

Maybe get rid of 1/3 of the systems, or as was mentioned somewhere a while ago, make each system carry less planets

Yeah I didn't think about the stay in option, well, then I'd have to agree, shorter round, less systems, less exploration phase = more attacking

I dont play MW but the idea is very good for any other gal, make smaller systems (10 planets in each system would be worth a test)

This way families spread faster, a core is soon filled and conflicts come earlier = more fun

Bigger fams !
Smaller gal !
Biggesr sysems !
Minemum 30 fams before allies are allowed.
increase planetsize with 20%.
Rounds ephase need to end rl week2 and warphase need to be 1 month and 2 weeks (some match genious need to calc that).
mod tools need to start to beeing used again and fams need to be deleted once more becouse babysitting cheating gang bangs and so on. ( you belove that by not policing more will remain you are wrong many leace cos you DONT police the game!).
Add some of the feutures of the ic scripts into the game itself thus improve game play a lot.

I might remember more things but this is it for now.......

I would say smaller families, more families and less systems (smaller sectors)... there still needs to be clusters of systems because it sucks when the closest system to your home is 2-3 ticks away smile

Similar Fam size as this round (maybe 10 per Fam) more Systems And 6 Sectors please, extend the round by a month also.

This is for us nerds who like to build, build and build some more... I dont care what the rest of you fags think.

Change the name of the Galaxy to WhiteShadow or IC-Legend smile

also since men are stronger than women, make the droids and soldiers for us guys stronger than those by the weaker women that play tongue

Don't allow women to be leaders over men since we all know who has the smarter brain smile

and lastly create a servant race of women soldiers thats only job is to serve the men droids food and have sex when needed for morale BOOST...

@EM it sucks but they havent still fixed it, I was at chat with Ps after that and he found out something strange in the code, like if Adoross had messed a part of it and it's now very difficult to fix.

Just remember people...reducing numbers of systems gives bigger nw differences. Meaning early fast fams will likely be at the top all round. I know u thinking reducing systems will up competition. It will, just early big fams will take it. So if u do...you should decrease round length, which personally I feel is pointless.

Might as well just make a new galaxy to satisfy all those lil guys tongue

And ill be honest...I've played since the start longer than anyone except DR and our lovely inactive admin Stefan. And just as long at that. But I had the most fun with tr-alliance wars. Although the ic community was about tripled then so its kind of not practical now.

If you wanna do all that reduce systems and smaller fams stuff....just make a new galaxy. Plus MW is a stay in fam round, so u should leave that alone.

But I do agree wardancers should be changed. And maybe add a race or 2. Give us more options tongue

Guys remember we cant change fam size or amounts of families this round. Next round we can do something tho. We can change how many systems and the map size.

As for changing the amount of planets in a system it possibly can be done would have to talk to Ps and see what level of difficulty it would be.  If we do lower the amount of planets per system then it will lower family member amounts  altho we don't have big families much anymore.  Fifteen would be a good amount maybe. Just kicking stuff around. I think 10 would limit it too much tho.

As for changing the soldiers into male and female, I like this. All the female players would have Amazon soldiers while the males will have the smaller versions kinda like how a male black widow spider is much much smaller than the female. Thanks for the idea!

Hmmmm, from what I saw, there were too many naps and too many families going inactive afterwards. It just seems to me that it would be more viable to increase the number of systems and planets so that growth continues. With the way IC is nowadays, there are always going to be only 3-5 fams tops competing ftw. 2-3 alliances top gunning for the top 2-3 spots. Nothing you do will change that.

Increasing the number of systems will make it easier to find targets because as of now, if a family with 1k planets loses a war to a family with 1300 planets, the bigger fam will probably want 200 planets for nap payment. That's only 20% of that fam's planets which isn't a lot tbh, but considering how cores play a large factor in the way a round goes, that will likely end a fam's round because there's nowhere to expand.

Having more systems and more planets promotes smaller fams to keep growing and allows bigger fams to get shares with each other. And it would also be great to go back to 2.5 month rounds but...I don't think that's realistic anymore. Too few players and too many pnaps being made these days.

I would also consider adding a draft or two or make the fam 50% draft. I never really liked the idea of having only a couple of drafts. That was a lot more viable when there were more active players because then superfams get made. These days there are so few active players and families that you are better off having more active guys in active families. For example, look at 5060, h4e's fam. They got hit hard early on and never really recovered. But I bet in a MW with more systems and more drafts they'd probably be right at the top.

But with the current set up, you're going to find more people bored because there's nobody to fight and nowhere to explore and the people that they want to fight, they have no way to get shares with them anymore.

Reason why we need a shorter ephase is for years fams have basicly infrawhored themselfs into nr1 spot.
As this is a war game you should have to fight your way into nr1 spot NOT infrawhore to it !:S
