Guys, take special note of the variations/notes that arsy mentioned....Here's a list (I think I got all)...

- Roles are no longer revealed to the Cop.  Only will be informed if they're Town aligned, or Mafia A/B aligned. 
- SK and GF (A and B) will appear town aligned (same as before)
- GF is elected first night, and then chooses a successor incase he dies.
- Cop and Watcher choose if they want to either 'investigate' or 'watch' a person - not both.
- Watching someone, will reveal anyone who has come to perform a 'role/action' on the Watchers target.
- Serial Killer cannot be cured to become a Townie.

A single tear formed in the corner of Guiseppe Romano's eye and slowly rolled down his cheek. He didn't even try to fight it back as he stared blankly at the gravestone he had visited without fail on every day of the past 3 months.

The words engraved in gold on the stone simply stared back at him.

A gentle breeze blew through the graveyard and wrapped itself around Guiseppe causing him to shiver slightly. He crouched to lay a bright red rose on the ground where his wife and unborn child were laid to rest and reached into his jacket pocket to retrieve a small plastic toy car he played with when he was younger. Raising it to his lips, he planted a soft kiss before putting it down to join the rose.

He let the tears stream down his face as he got back to his feet and began to walk away. He mustered all of his might to stop himself from looking back as he approached his car but in the end he couldn't manage it. He stole one final heartfelt glance at the grave before driving out of the graveyard for the last time.

- 12 months from present day

A stream of champagne bubbles erupted from the open bottle as the cork was popped open. Loud music blared from the stereo system as waiters brought around drinks to the various people sprawled across sun loungers on the deck of the Romano family mansion. There was a splash followed by the cackle of laughter as a couple of bikini clad prostitutes jumped into the pool.

This was definitely time for celebration. After the news of the murder of the Rossi family godfather, the Romano Empire had officially become the premier mafia family in the busy port town of Calabra in Southern Italy. Having infilitrated all areas of society in the region, the family had influence over the police department and even local government decisions.

Their Godfather took credit for much of this success. Vittore Romano had built up the empire from its humble beginnings as a small town crime syndicate by opening up trade links with Africa to import cocaine into the country. Only 4 years later, he now operated one of the largest drug cartels in south-west Italy.

But even Vittore would admit that he couldn't have done it without the help and support of his right-hand man - his younger brother Guiseppe. With only two years between them, they had been the best of friends as they grew up in the shadow of their father, the original Romano godfather.

The family had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the years before and after Vittore took leadership, but this day was definitely one to celebrate.

Vittore picked up a fat cuban cigar from the box and placed it in his mouth. An oriental girl in a tight bikini flicked the top of a lighter and lit the cigar for him. A plume of smoke filled the air as he exhaled. He stood up and pointed at two of the girls who were sitting around him. "Mimi, Candy, come with me" he commanded.

Guiseppe watched from the shade of a parasol as his brother made his way towards the house with the two hookers following like little puppies. "Hey Vit!" he called as he stood up and jogged towards his brother. "I'm going to take the Jag and head off for a bit. Got some business to take care of."

"Will you just stop thinking about work and have some fun?" Vittore said as he eyed up another hooker sitting closeby. "Relax a little Beppe. Francesca, get over here and show my brother how to relax." He laughed as he slammed shut the door to the bedroom.

Guiseppe sighed and then set his eyes on the cute leggy brunette walking sultrily towards him.

- 6 months from present day

"Beppe! Don't go. I'm lonely - come back to bed!" Francesca called as she pulled the white sheet over her naked body. She played around with the golden ring around her wedding finger as she watched Guiseppe pull on his trousers and pick out a shirt from the wardrobe.

"I can't babe. Need to get to work, Vittore will go ape if I'm late today. We're expecting a massive shipment from Egypt." After buttoning his shirt, he climbed back onto the bed and delivered a long and satisfying kiss to his new bride. As he went to move out of the room, she gripped his arm.

"I've got some news for you," she said as she directed his hand to rest upon her stomach and looked at his face to gauge his reaction. It took a moment to register, but a huge smile quickly beamed across his face. He jumped back onto the bed. "I had no idea whether you were going to be happy or angry!"

"Omg Frankie, I can't believe it!" he exclaimed, pushing the bedsheet off the bed and began planting a million little kisses on her belly. "Do I look angry to you? I'm going to be here for you every step of the way."

Francesca smiled and silently gathered the courage to finally say what she had been wanting to say for the last few months. "If you really do mean that... leave the mafia for me. Give up working for your brother and let's get away. I'm tired of the drugs and the drinking and the gunshots." She reached up, touched Guiseppe's face and looked into his eyes. "That's no environment to bring a baby boy into the world."

"It's a boy?" he whispered. He closed his eyes to avoid having to look directly at his wife as he thought. His brother would never forgive him if he suddenly left with a hooker but he could never forgive himself if something happened to his wife and son as a result of his line of work. He made a decision and opened his eyes. "OK babe. You're absolutely right. We can't subject this baby to the world of the mafia. But I don't know what Vittore would do if I told him. You know he'll think I'll tarnish the family name by marrying you, let alone having a child!"

"Then let's run away!" she suggested. "Let's get as far away from here as possible. France maybe? London?"

"We have no money Frankie. All the money we have is tied with the mafia. It's tied to my brother," Guiseppe said dejectedly. "The alternative is that we steal the money. Vit doesn't like to have cash lying around and readily available but there's always an emergency drug fund locked in his office of the warehouse. If I can get the key, I bet there will be a couple of hundred thousand Euros in there. If we can steal that, we can make a new life anywhere. Just you, me and Alexander."

"Alexander? Your father's name. I like that," she agreed as she reached up to kiss him once more.

- 3 months from present day

Francesca panted heavily as she darted up the warehouse stairs. As expected, the building was completely empty. The plan discussed with Guiseppe a few hours earlier was so far going to schedule. She held a bronze safe key in her left hand and used her other to hold the rail to help her up the stairs.

The warehouse was normally used as storage space to store and divide the cocaine for distribution across the region but tonight, the tables had been cleared and the lights were off. It was eerily dark and quiet.

Rather than turning on the lights, she used a small handheld torch to navigate the office to reduce the likelihood of being discovered. The safe was exactly where her husband said it would be. She inserted the key and twisted the dial to match the numbers she had memorised. The safe clicked and unlocked. Francesca peered inside but it was completely empty. It was then the lights switched on and she span around to see Vittore looking at her.

"Buona sera Francesca, what a surprise to see you here. I hope you'll forgive me for not leaving my money in there" the Romano family godfather said. Francesca was clearly shocked that she had been found but it didn't stop her from looking around for a quick exit. "Nice bump you have growing there too. Did you both really think I wouldn't find out?"

Francesca made a run for the stairs but Vittore blocked her route and grabbed her arm. She lashed out and slapped him across the face with her free hand. He was taken aback by the violence taken against him. No one dared to stand up against him like that. He raised his own hand and punched her square in the face. She stumbled backwards into the wall behind and collapsed onto the floor with blood starting to drip from her nose.

"Bring him in here" the Godfather shouted as the double doors at the end of the office opened and two mobsters dragged out a man struggling to get free of the ropes tying his hands and legs together. His mouth was gagged with a bit of old rope. "Get that gag off him. I want the piece of scum to speak." The mobsters untied the gag.

"Francesca!!" Guiseppe shouted as soon as he was able to. He continued to struggle to break free.

"Aw poor Beppe, you little piece of shit. You really thought you'd be able to get away with this elaborate plan of yours. You of all people should know that I have eyes and ears EVERYWHERE" the older brother said as he held onto the frame of the staircase. "Shows how much of a fool I was to trust you. My own flesh and blood."

"Boss!" one of the mobsters shouted.

"What?!" Vittore said as Francesca dived onto him from behind. Her nails scratched the skin on his face and dug into his nostrils as the godfather scrambled to get the pregnant woman off his back. He took a grip on her long brown hair and pulled causing her to scream out loud and release her hold on him. He took his opportunity to grab onto her, drag her towards the top of the stairs and push.

Guiseppe cried out as he watched his wife fall backwards down the long flight of stairs.

The Godfather composed himself and straightened out his hair. "Damn and I introduced you to that bitch?!" he said laughing slightly. He walked towards his younger brother who was still crying out and booted him once in the stomach, kicking the wind out of him. "Untie him and let's go. Beppe, get out of my sight. I never want to see you again. The only reason you're still alive now is because you are still my blood and I still have my honour. But you will never be referred to again as a Romano." Vittore took one look at his poor excuse of a brother and spat on him before walking out of the office, followed by his two henchmen.

Once the room was empty, Guiseppe scrambled across the floor. His whole body ached and he had difficulty breathing but he managed to get to his feet and run down the stairs. Francesca was lying in a crumpled heap at the bottom. She had cuts over her face and her nose was a bloody mess. Her sobbing husband lifted her up onto his lap and he stroked her hair slowly. She gradually opened her eyes.

"Beppe... my... love" she managed to say through gritted teeth. She tried to move but the pain was too much.

"Don't try to speak babe" Guiseppe muttered, tears streaming down his face.

"Beppe... something's wrong... " Francesca stuttered as her husband looked down at the growing pool of blood between her legs.

- Present day

He closed the door behind him and the four men who had been sitting and waiting patiently all afternoon looked at him.

"Beppe, are you ok?" the eldest asked.

"Si grazie, I'm fine Giovanni" he answered. "Did you get all the things I asked for?"

"Yes, we have the guns, the money and the hair dye and shaver. Do you want your haircut now?"

"Si Marco. The quicker we get ready the quicker we can leave. I'd prefer to get to Calabra before nightfall so we can find somewhere to hide out and stay. Then we can properly begin our assault. I know how my brother operates, he won't know what hit him."

"Beppe, we're your brothers now," the youngest Moretti brother said. He was the most affected when Guiseppe had first told him of his sister's murder. "We'll avenge Francesca's death together. As a family. You're a Moretti now. Now let's get your hair cut, you need to look completely different and it's already starting to get dark."

The Romano and Moretti families need to elect their godfathers by the end of this night.
All night time roles with abilities must post their decisions to Mayor #5080 by 19:00 UK time (GMT+1) on Sunday 10th July.
