Topic: Camaar needs PI

Camaar as an attacking race is already weak due to the negative research. This is of course compensated by the speed bonus, though, the lack of PI as an op for Camaar is a reason not to take the race.

PI is essential to attacking, and in general quite convenient. I'm all for motivating people to cooperate, but PI is more of a 'need-now' op and if someone isn't right there at that moment, camaar has a serious setback. Camaar isn't a standalone race as it is, so I don't see why that race doesn't have PI.

ie add PI to the Camaar arsenal!

Then remove Find Target's Planets. Both those ops are needed for an attacker, right? Though FTL is not as urgent as PI sometimes is. It's good to make people work together, but on a tick to tick basis it just makes much more sense for Camaar to have PI as opposed to FTL.

Just one other perspective ;p

camaar is too depended on the rich and active fam smile

i say ... instead of PI .... DU atleast ... takes more ops to determine lasers amount ( well.... not even that )

Camaar has its niche.  People still play Camaar as it is now, and love the way it is.  Sure you can strengthen it, but not without taking something away to balance it.

Camaar has never been a race that can support itself.  It has awesome strength, but to be super-effective it needs to be coupled with good teamwork and other people to make up for the inefficient parts of the race.

If you need desperate PIs, then sounds like a custom attacker race is the way to go tongue - which ofcourse has it's own benefits!

camaar having pi is not just a camaar having pi, it is potentially saving your fam 7 ops which can be used for something else.

it would be saving more than 7 ops.. you think how many PI's a camaar asked for through the whole round!

What's a  camaar doing casting ops anyway, he should have a team for that...
Unless you're soloing, in which case I find camaar a slightly questionable choice anyway.

nope nope, no PI for caamar, the interesting of that race is presicely they attack blind, they are fast but attack blind, thats perfect smile

I think its retarded. PI is necessary, with the lack of people in this game, therein the lack of activity, thus the lack of people willing to pi for a camaar, I'm sure I ask atleast 12 times a day asking for a pi and nobody is ever there, yes the speed is nice, etc, then remove all damn ops from it and just leave PI.
