Topic: Sen Obama is a liar

Why is it taking so long for anyone to say this ?

When touring his 57th state of the Union, he told us how his Great Uncle was in the lead units that Freed Auschwitz (sic ?).
Then as the story goes, his "uncle" lived in the attic of the house for six months.  He had severe PTSS.

So, his uncle was really his Grand Father.
Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet army.


So, was it his uncle or Grand Father with PTSS ?
Did anyone live in the Attic of the house ??


This was an out and out [unsane] moment........ A lie.


Memorial Day is to remember those that have given their lives in service to the Country.
PTSS is a veterans issue, yes.  But ummm....not on Memorial Day. 
Leave that to the other 364 days to discuss.

Can some let OBAMA know this ??
Seems in his speech, he had a lot of those that he was paying homage to in the audience with him.

As he said, " . . . I can see many of you here, before me. . ." in the crowd.

No.  His uncle didnt serve, it was his Grand Pappy.

The BIGGEST goof of them all is......PTSS issues are not to be brought up on Memorial Day.  Leave that for the other 364 days.

It will take two years BW before they'd admit Obama were bad, let alone worse than Bush. It must come but it will take time. Maybe when they pick up a paper and read Obama talked tough to Russia and gave their economy away like a poker chip, or that we pull out of NATO because it provokes our enemies. But it will come.

the other side was right in pointing out the error, especially since the red army link is pretty humorous, but this little gaffe shouldn't be held against obama - I can see how it's an honest mistake if his granduncle actually did visit a concentration camp during WWII

I agree with Rush, Obama's touching tale of a soldier who comes home and crawls into the attic for six months is the perfect way to bond with the troops.

Again.....here is the major points.

1.  Auschwitz  was liberated by Soviet Troops and is located in Poland.  Any remote knowledge of history and geography would have helped him not make this blunder.

2.  You dont confuse the stories of your Grandfather with your Great Uncle.  These stories are told again and again in American families, of the sacrifice made by the greatest generation.  Those who served in WW2.

3.  A great Uncle in the Attic or a Grandfather liberating a Concentration camp.......big news, you dont confuse.  If you did, you are an idiot for telling it.

4.  The entire story pointed to the fact that he was trying to relate to Veteran's Issues, PTSS that his family member had.
Hiding in the attic after he came home from war.

- - Memorial Day is about those who gave their lives.  NOT about veterans issues.

5.  Obama is also not aware enough to understand the significance of Memorial Day.

6.  He also gave tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice....many of whom were standing in the audience as he gave the speech.  Again.....  Unable to even know what "Ultimate Sacrifice" means.
