Topic: Alliance Aiding

I know its possible to aid allies through various unofficial means... (and yes, I know this is listed in the common ideas sticky at the top, but I thought I'd make it a little more fair)...

Basically, why not be able to have regular "modifiable" alliances (as it currently sits) and Permanent ones... What I mean by this, is regular alliances would still function as is... but to discourage any form of bullying or cheating with alliance aiding... When one wishes to aid an ally, they must sign a "Permanent alliance", at which point you can aid all fams in the alliance,(obviously the opposite ally must reciprocate the perm ally tag first). 

More or less, its the only way I could think of off the top of my head, that would be relatively easy to implement... and would be fair for the most part...

Pros vs Cons anyone? smile  The only obvious negative to this, is if your ally epic fails.... Then you're stuck with them, but at least this way, they'd have a chance to get back on their feet!

It could be possible in regular gals but NEVER in SD, it's suposed to be and SS gal, and many people (like me) choose not to have allies and play the game like its meant to be. It would be a huge disadvantage for SS players to allow ally aid.

Also in regular gals it would benefit the big fams (everybody wants to ally a contender) and very bad for small fams (nobody wants to ally a bottom fam).  So in summary, I am against your idea smile as it unbalances the game even more

Yes, but you would always be allies... There are going to be bottom fams regardless of what rules are implemented, but if they want to increase their chances of survival, then 2-3 lower ranked fams can sign a perm alliance and be able to aid each other, which would be even more beneficial... and perhaps a few other things like fam attack (35%) could be augmented higher to compensate for any variances...AND/OR other options: (like large fams can only send a certain % of their daily prod to each other)... There are many things that can be done to allow fair play to prevail... wink

EDIT: yes, I meant only normal gals, NOT hc...

I posted long ago about setting the limit to 40% that would help small fams to have a chance to grow and not be farmed away, it'd be a slight change in the game but (sadly) mods didnt even try to test it.
Now u're talking about bringin back tri-alliances that's indeed a superb idea to do in PW, but still mods think PW is the trash can of IC.

With permanent tri-alliances (settled before round starts) and limiting the allowed attack range then ally aid makes a lot of sense to me and I aprove your idea smile

but who cares I aprove or I dont??  Mods are the same old lazy bums and they dont even check this ideas forum, so we might better stop wasting our time here and play with the few they give sad

a few rounds ago (maybe like 4) i aided renders fam like 20 billion gc in PW through the market. its fair, the market taxes you for it though so you do infact lose a bit. its fair the way it is. only thing that sucks is when someone knows your up to something and buys the market price when your trying to aid your ally.

hmm well it was Llanowar's fam who aided my fam, and that was way more than 4 round ago, maybe you were in that fam or maybe you're talking about another round much older, idk, I'm so cool that people aids me thru market a lot tongue  ( I'd wish )

it was the heroes/villains alliance...you were getting butt raped and i didnt want them to win round, we had already pounded your fam in a previous war, and end up allying you because you were fighting heroes/villains and we had pnapped them but you werent napped and we were saving for EOR for like 10 days and aided your fam like 20+ billion over the market
