Topic: No to the debt ceiling

http://www.gallup.com/poll/147524/Americans-Oppose-Raising-Debt-Ceiling.aspx

Incredible numbers here. 70% of Republicans will vote their leaders out if they vote to increase it.

Wake up time for Republicans, and a big pill for Democrats... A suppository the size of an apple. Not some small apple, no a Red full size apple.

This means your going to have to decide which socialist programs go bye bye if you wish to keep this game going.

But I say that certain programs are just.... GONE...

ObamaScareCare? You are the weakest link, GOODBYE

EPA regulations on Carbon Dioxide and enforcement thereof? Enjoy the trip, see you next fall. (Find the pun, or lose your life)

Money for minorities, aka bribes for votes? You might see a crack in the cement here.

The whole pina colada will not help you, reality is knocking.

http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/debt_deficit_brief.php

That page shows exactly why we cant do anything and everything you want.

The Pendulum is swinging. I wonder if you will moderate yourselves before the backswing is in full momentum...

Some things you can change before we change them:

1) Drilling for oil
If you destroy the economy by prohibiting drilling any longer, you could see a government that says all drilling is allowed and to make it incentivized they will revoke leases on lands not under drill in less than 6 months after purchase of the lease and put it out for auction again.  That would mean Alaska for sure.... Shale Oil.. and much much more.

I dare you to keep it up, I want $1 a gallon fuel again... so I can drive more for fun and less about just work and errands. GO FOR IT! Pick a tough stance, help the Republican Revolution go full swing the other way!

2) Prosecution at the Federal Level
Try to do charges on black males equal to white males there. Do not show blatant racism like you did with the Black Panthers... or the new Terrorists (who bought guns, had a date, and a plan) who were going to do action in N.Y. City.

End Racism now or be charged for it, and have the rules changed so that there will be charges for blatant racism that never existed before, and an end to all laws such as equal opportunity (Which is statistically unsound math)

3) Tort Reform
Do it, do it now.... Or the opposite will be preventing lawyers from funding political parties, or something equally painful. BE SCARED.

4) Reform Unions
I would join a union in a HEART BEAT... if they were outlawed from negotiating wages or benefits. I agree to an organization that keeps employers from abusing me and keep me in a safe workplace.  Oh and the problem... Right to Work at a Federal Level. Yes I just said death to unions will happen unless you reform them.

5) Education
Your harrassment of myself, and other Republican and Conservatives in the school system will not just end, but you will also quit supporting liberal agenda's in the school system. You will end Tenure and end it asap. You will make teachers pay be based on performance, and not on time in position. The punishment will be that we will make those changes AND we will make vouchers for private school a requirement for ongoing Federal Funding to States (A nice carrot stick approach). Yeah you see how bad this could be for your agenda?

6) Property
You will eliminate the Death Tax, you will reduce property taxes, and you will end Eminent domain. You will be scared of the alternatives... your worst dreams and then some in this area.

7) Taxes
You will drop taxes or you will see a FAIR Tax or Flat Tax.

8) Cap Government Pay
Cap it to 95% of the median for Private Industry. We do not want our brightest and smartest trying for Government Jobs... we want them to make money for our nation and themselves.

Think these are unrealistic? I say that you thought you had 2010 in the bag in 2008. I also think you have no clue how bad 2012 will be. This is where we can crush you (so long as our leaders get the current message loud and clear, which all indications show they are getting the message finally)

big_smile So much change we Republicans and Conservatives can believe in is coming. Will you make an effort to fix things a little now, or wait for us to come with a Sledge Hammer and Wrecking Ball to those things you love? big_smile

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Re: No to the debt ceiling

It won't just be "Republicans get everything they want" land, because Republicans only hold one bargaining chip in the negotiations... you do realize that, right?  The Democrats will propose tax increases, just like the Republicans will propose their wish list of cuts.  From there... you get negotiation.

Re: No to the debt ceiling

so now that our economy is starting to take off again now it magically fails? hehe ok,

flat tax rates? never going to happen.

imminent domain removed? never

stop racism? never, this is an ideology, you cant change how people were raised, in fact i would say there are more racist blacks where im at. if my white ass walks down a wrong cleveland street, i will get shot. that is why i dont do that

$1 a gallon? not happening, we just allowed more drilling to offset prices, but the fact is japan just decided they are screpping thier new nuclear power plants and are going to depend more on importing feul, aswell china's rediculous growth and attempt to reduce poverty will drive this price up and it will enver go down until its all gone.

republicans are fighting taxes on oil companies, fact is they are making record profits and still cant pass safety tests on thier rigs.

as for any large reforms i dont see this happening when jobs are popping up everywhere. and third shift, which had been dead for the past 8 years, has seen life come back to it.

Re: No to the debt ceiling

"Incredible numbers here. 70% of Republicans will vote their leaders out if they vote to increase it."

thats reading between the lines, they said they oppose it hehe. aswell wallstreet is backing the raise, and is fairly confident it will happen.

Re: No to the debt ceiling

i would however LOVE to see those reforms happen, aswell a change in federal spending but ya know, if the masses want it, it doesnt happen

Better yet, reduce your dependency on oil/petrol and therefore reduce your spend on fuel. The fact that some people world-wide want to just waste a resource they think they shouldn't have to pay for it, your free-market model says otherwise.  On a side note, you can't say the market knows best and then complain about the effects of the free market, well you can but then you are an idiot. I also note that this is not your actual argument, I was just saying...

>> 2) Prosecution at the Federal Level
>> Try to do charges on black males equal to white males there. Do not show blatant racism like you did with the Black Panthers... or the new Terrorists (who bought guns, had a >> date, and a plan) who were going to do action in N.Y. City.

I may be wrong about your argument here, or about my stats which I am too lazy to Google to check, but I was reasonably sure that American prisons were full of black males, suggesting that Black Males are prosecuted the most, hence if you were to prosecute to the same levels then there needs to be more prosecuting on white males?

>> 3) Tort Reform
>> Do it, do it now.... Or the opposite will be preventing lawyers from funding political parties, or something equally painful. BE SCARED.
I am not american so have no opinion, not actually care what you are talking about...

>> 4) Reform Unions
>> I would join a union in a HEART BEAT... if they were outlawed from negotiating wages or benefits. I agree to an organization that keeps employers from abusing me and keep >> me in a safe workplace.  Oh and the problem... Right to Work at a Federal Level. Yes I just said death to unions will happen unless you reform them.

Now the interesting one, I see that you completely misunderstand what a Union is about, either that or you have been brainwashed by someone or something. Unions are around to allow workers to collectively bargain for better work conditions, including wages and benefits. Without that there is no real point, as the place where the power imbalance between the owners of capital and the workers is at the pay negotiating table.

>>5) Education
>>Your harrassment of myself, and other Republican and Conservatives in the school system will not just end, but you will also quit supporting liberal agenda's in the school  >>system. I don't seem to follow you on this, though that may be my lack of being American, but if you are saying that teachers should be paid by performance not experience then you are right and you are wrong, it should be based on both as it would be in any workplace. If you want the public sector to be similar to the private sector then it should be to the same standards, not different ones, or maybe to the actual standards of the private sector not the idealogical standards.

>>6) Property
>>You will eliminate the Death Tax, you will reduce property taxes, and you will end Eminent domain. You will be scared of the alternatives... your worst dreams and then some in >>this area.
Because reducing income in a time you want to reduce debt is a good thing right? If republicans are so for reducing debt then they will accept the need to not reduce government income.

>>7) Taxes
>>You will drop taxes or you will see a FAIR Tax or Flat Tax.
See above. Please explain why reducing government income when your whole point is to reduce government debt is a good idea? I know there is this idea about a so called 'trickle down effect' which is never seen. Case in point, my nation where the National Government changed the tax structure to give a tax break to the rich whilst keeping the theoretical tax income the same, by increasing GST (Goods & Services Tax.) However we, as a country, are now over $300 million a week worse off than we were before the tax switch, because the rich did not spend their extra income, and did not create new jobs, did not do any of the things the trickle down theory says will happen.

>>8) Cap Government Pay
>>Cap it to 95% of the median for Private Industry. We do not want our brightest and smartest trying for Government Jobs... we want them to make money for our nation and >>themselves.

How is reducing the smarts in government going to make it better? I am actually for governments paying more for University grads, maybe offering scholarships and interships to try and get more intelligence into the government services. If you don't then what you are left with is what you can afford, which is not the best. This reduces productivity and efficiency of the government leading to the problems in government services the right wing people like to whine about. Pay more, attract the right type of people and get a better service.

Re: No to the debt ceiling

hell maybe we should just vote sara palin in, shes smart enough for the both of us

Re: No to the debt ceiling

The other thing I'm wondering here... how linked are some of these to the budget?  Okay, I can understand things like union reform... but the federal prosecution thing?
