It seems im not alone in the critique of that video regarding obamas promise to bring the soldiers home. If i remember correctly, he said that about iraq, not afghanistan, while the video suggests he meant afghanistan too, suggesting a broken promise...

I do share the opinion he had a promise broken, altough the vid is false. But like everybody in his right mind, I knew before he was elected troops wouldn't withdraw so easily. Whether you were pro or con war, its not because you withdraw the war never happened.

Withdrawal of any of those countries is not an option a.t.m. It would make 2 new Irans but far worse.

Bush jr. was way worse by a huge margin than obama, even though im not a friend of obama's style. If I remember, obama promised to retreat the troops from iraq, something he atleast started. He wanted to concentrate the US power on the war in afghanistan and never promised to retreat the troops from there. Of course I could have missed that.

he was ellected in 2009 but ok. It would have been madness to withdraw. Its just that it was so obvious a lie to promise this, I don't understand who voted him in.
