The transliteration of Arabic characters to a Latin-based alphabet is not 1:1, as it is with Cyrillic and other alphabets, so both Usama and Osama are technically correct in their own right. Just as there are multiple spellings of Mohammed.
That being said, I was surprised by this news. I was convinced he was a smear on the wall of an Afghan cave 9 years ago. Nevertheless, I don't see how this news changes anything. Furthermore, I will be interested to see how this affects Obama's approval ratings, in spite of the fact he had [very toned abs, although with regards to the political issue we were discussing, nothing to do at] all to do with tracking him down except for approving the action that lead to his demise. His little speech suffered from over-preparation, and I am certain he has overstated his role in this so-called pivotal event in the alleged War on Terror.
I did find it curious that he acknowledged the ~3000 dead as a direct result of 9/11, yet failed to mention the countless lives lost since in the subsequent wars that we are still fighting.
Whatever, what can Americans honestly expect from Capitol Hill other than more of the same?
