Re: The Bush Death List

*yawn*

you forgot all the people that died from hurricane katrina because of Bush's horrible response to the event.

and republican control of congress was killed because of him too.

Re: The Bush Death List

whats that?

Re: The Bush Death List

I don't know if Bush did much more than all of the previous Presidents to tarnish the US's world image. If I remember correctly, "anti-Americanism" was a sentiment long before the 1990's.

Prior to Bush I got the impression, and this is strictly personal, that the world didn't like America.  Now it seems the world hates you.  Small step but a step none-the-less.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Re: The Bush Death List

The world hates us because our dream ever since the Founding is to pretend nobody else exists.  And because we've made that work really well, with a whole continent to ourselves.  Only China comes close to being able to pull that off.

Re: The Bush Death List

if you pretend no one else exists, why the hell do you want to go overseas to other countries to murder people?

"if you pretend no one else exists, why the hell do you want to go overseas to other countries to murder people?"

so they don't exist anymore

Oz imports too much stuff, besides they like to fit in.  I meant China can get by saying "Oh go away"

Re: The Bush Death List

if your dream is to pretend no one else exists like you said, why do you want to actually make no one else exist? pretending someone doesn't exist if he really does not exist is moot. you're effectively destroying your own dream.

You have a whole continent to yourself?

WTF is canda? or mexico? Last time I checked both are free nations...

@ Manti:

"Yeah well im trying to make a point."

I, personally believe you made you point extremely clear.

As to what the world "Thinks" or "Feels" about the United States.....

[Thank you].  Personally, as an American, I could give a shit less what any country "Thinks" or "Feels" about the US.

On the flip side,...... I dont give a [joyful daydream] about any other country either.

Obviously,...this does not go for our close allies.....UK, Ausi, Canada... not necessarily in that order, and specifically on a Geo-political level.   As to individuals of these countries who dont like the US .....  to bad, get over it.

Re: The Bush Death List

Hmm, from the list at the top people here only replied to the "10) US status, in the world community". The 9 points above are totaly ignored. Weird.

yet americas were pretty pissed for the celebrations all over the middle east after 9/11.

America is not independant of the world, the US still needs the world no matter how freaks like you think the US will collapse without the world.

Re: The Bush Death List

nice BW

souns like "join us or we kill you"  kinda thing to me,

and manticore, thanks for the actual numbers, never looked into them, but the point is right and spot on, and sadly, there will probably be another repub in the oval office,

Re: The Bush Death List

Before,

America wasnt liked because we had so much compared to other countries...other countries felt we were not aiding enough to others. Or not getting involved when people were getting attacked or dictators was ruining countries and crushing civil liberties.

now they dont like us when we try and help them out and take out dictators.

Even during the clinton administration and the former bush....we sent aid shipments and people we were feeding still hated us. Even when we sent BILLIONS in aid out...they said it wasnt enough. They didnt say "thank you" they bitched.

Re: The Bush Death List

they were wrong before, they're right now

Re: The Bush Death List

"now they dont like us when we try and help them out and take out dictators."

Is it the same dictatators the US assisted in one way or another over the years, and took them out when the dictators ego outgrew his use.

Well You put them there, and now you go and take them down, after MILLIONS have died under their rule... My god I cant see why ANYONE will hate you...

10) US status, in the world community

I meant this as more of a September 12th 2001 type fo thing. Back then the US had the support of the world, with some work we could be in a completely different situation now... But Bush and company kill that.

Re: The Bush Death List

@ Gladiator

Sounds like Join us or be killed ?
First off, I was writing...not talking  big_smile
2nd, if I meant Join us or be killed, then that means I would care about what you think....yes ?
basically, Im attacking your assumption.

100K+ Civs dead...... Just because good muslims are killing each other, doesnt mean its the US to blame.
100K+ dead in Civilian clothing, doesnt make them civilians.....in this continued thuggery.

4500+ US dead on the war on terror, is actually about 3800 combat deaths, 28K+ wounded.
And every single one of them are volunteers.  I would say...estimating, my opinion, that 95%+ are proud of their service.  The others of course are confused and angry as they adapt.
I can state this with certainty and clarity, because unlike you all that THINK you know, I am an active veteran, commander of my veterans post, that supports the VA hospitals and veteran affairs.  I am on the front line when the soldiers return.  After all, who else knows combat when they get home than fellow combat vets.

As to US Democracy and Capitalism..... Decency.....

So, all of the above, and a freaking Moron headlines the post:
"Bush Death List"

chuckling.... in disgust of course.

"As to what the world "Thinks" or "Feels" about the United States.....

[yay].  Personally, as an American, I could give a [w00t] less what any country "Thinks" or "Feels" about the US."

Except that increased tension with the US could lead to countries looking elsewhere for trade.  What you fail to realize is that America is dependent on international trade, you just don't have the resources to support your lifestyle.  On the other hand the countries that sell to the US can always look elsewhere, they'd take a hit but they'd eventually recover.

Re: The Bush Death List

"yet americas were pretty pissed for the celebrations all over the middle east after 9/11."

Um you mean those images shown right after the "9/11"? Those scenes who where taped LONG before that? Those images which were shown after "9/11" to make the americans more angry?

It's already proven those scenes were taped long before and had nothing to do with that at all. There were no celebrations caused by the "9/11" that I know off.
