I'm quite impressed by the chinese reaction's strength and efficiency. Certainly better than the reactions to Katrina in the USA, or some of the worse floods in the UK.

I have to admit they were open about it. No hiding/censorship in the media. Seems like they acted efficiently idd. I like the way China is going, though it has a long way to go still.

Oh yea....CHina did just great.

The worst part is building concrete structures w/o Rebar. Many of those building, 2-3 stories had no business collapsing like that.

I guess Iron was a little scarse in that region, or....hard to move there...or....just not a part of the code.

as to answering the call .... yes.  Seems they did a good job of getting people there. 
After all, people is what they have.  Their problem was getting equip in.

Iron is expensive man.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...
