Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Remember that this is less about the battles but more about developpin your charactars(atleast for me) and I wont mind if you make some mistakes.
This takes place in the future so shit might have changed.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Thanks, and thanks for the link, but i used info from wikipedia to write my post. I decided on the Black Templars because they are the largest Chapter, always moving about and granted me the ability to have battles or at least interactions with just about any player outside of the Imperium.

And yeah, if the Chaos Marines were going to get invovled, they'd be the first to hit.

Also just for future reference there is about 700-800 Black Templars in the Crusading Fleet in orbit. wink

Thats like nothing compared to my invasion fleet tongue. But I wonder how long of a forward momentum I can make before I get to the point of godmodding tongue.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

True, but the Tau are far more numerous then the Space Marines, or the Imperium would haev wiped them out before tongue

Also it'd be stupid for an invasion to be in fewer number then the defense tongue

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

The only reason the Tau are still alive and well is because the Imperium is to busy fighting bigger and more dangerous foes. The Tau race would have been beaten to pulp during the Damocles Crusade if it weren't for the timely intervention of a gigantic Tyranid Hive Fleet. tongue

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

There are more Tau then ever before. They have made huge jumps in size, breeding like crazy. Because we all know what people did after WW2.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I reckon a dozen Imperial planets full of Hive Cities  contain more souls than the entire Tau empire.

The Imperium can crush just about any race in the Galaxy in a one on one fight. Knowing this, races like the Eldar plan and plot to keep the Imperium in a constant state of war. The Second war for Armageddon for instance was caused by the Eldar Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, who lured Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka to Armageddon.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I did think this through, so I got all bases covered.

Just don't make this into a cannon war, if you are interested you can join. But I am not interested in discussing the universe in detail since it wold give away a lot of plot that I would like to hold on too.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Please, don't misunderstand. I don't intend to start a cannon war, I merely want to help paint in the background. wink

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Liking the story development so far.  I always feel bad for the SM.  Always outnumbered like crazy, and I wish I could have thought of the Eldar as "good" but doing things just to weaken the Imperium... why not find a way for direct confrontation between the Imperium and Chaos?  But yeah, back to ur story.

I'm going to be nicer promise

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

lol

And don't feel bad for the Imperium.... they may be out numbered on the fringes, but if it came down to it, they could kill everyone else in WH40K, they're just too over-zealous to see how.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I didnt like how you reduced my troop numbers. It was supposed to be one huge ass drop ship containing thausands of units. Now that flare signals the dropping of more dropships.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

The drop pod they had come to this planet lauched a big flare into the sky before disintigrating into useless pieces of steel.

what do you mean by "the dropship disintegrating"? is it destroyed by someone or selfdestructed or what?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

it falls apart. So yes a kind of selfdestruct mecanism.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

It got hit by my orbital bombardment, and my captain thinks that destructed it. In fact it selfdestructed, but he doesn't know that.

Just to prevent misunderstandings wink

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Arocalex.... when did I reduce your troop numbers? The Templar never had solid numbers and guessed...

skywarp: funny paragraph smile

"Shit..." hahaha wink

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Thank you.

It sums up the situation... the Imperial Guard have been decimated, the Templars are now fighting a two-sided battle and have to race the Tau army to the city... The battle inside the city will most likely see the extermination of Tyrael and his men, after a while.

"Shit..." 'nuff said tongue
