Topic: KoTH Ideas!

To negate the effect of CF/Naps/IA's, Make KoTH with Hardcore rules and Last man standing to negate the people who will just keep randoming to find their friends since it is an all random galaxies, they shouldn't be allowed to do that because you are meant to play with a mixed group of people and not necessarily the people you would normally go choose.

I think they should give it a shot for atleast a round!

this makes it more interesting for people, but then the map should be alot bigger, like the normal pw rounds 4 quadrants or something like that, else u will have 1-2 families that will rule that small koth map that we had.

leave the koth system as it is just that u need to hold the koth planets longer for lets 5-10 ticks bfor u will be declared winner and round ends, as this 1 tick business is just simple build up your little corner, defend your cores, go OB and build explos and all explo at +/- same time, wow exciting.

we need to mix it up, the fam withthe least nw/planets should win. i think this idea might change peoples strategy.

Transform each HS to a hill system, therefore noone can mass explore the hill and there is a need to fight.

I've suggested this.  I felt like rather than making the hill an area where morale isn't in effect, we should put a high % of morale bonuses in there, possibly extra resource bonuses as well.  Fact of the matter is with the way things are right now the only reward for actually fighting in the hill right now is the possibility of prolonging the round.  If there was actually something there to attract families, 23 wouldn't of been able to sit there all round and end it on a whim.

I posted this somewhere in ideas and other threads

"A good adition imo would be to allow alliances, quartet alliances to be exact, and allow ocasionally ONLY permanent naps (so people will think it twice before signing).

Also the map could be bigger yes, 4 sectors and a 1 hill in the middle of each sector would be nice (so 4 hills only to win the game).
Then 4 fams equidistantly placed in each sector, that makes a total of 16 fams x 15 players in each fam.

The alliances should work like this -> you cannot ally fams in your sector, your 3 allies must be placed in the other 3 sectors (1 ally in each). This would turn the competition in a 4vs4vs4vs4 all the way long, and the winner is a quarter alliance (not a single family) when the 4 hills are controled by people in a same alliance."

Hill systems need to be spaced more. Having them all in a cluster gives the first fam to portal in there a huge advantage, especially with the bonuses that were in there (if your fam has the econ to protect and hold). Give each fam a hill system within 2-3ticks from their HS, this gives every fam an equal chance to own part of the hill and also promotes war.

I wouldnt make it HC cos that eliminates competition, leaving the fams that eliminated them at a huge advantage with no repercussions of any retals/ops thrown their way (small guys can do a lil damage, thats for sure)

Morale wasnt an issue really at any time after explo was close to finishing cos most of the morales had then been found and passed onto attackers. I know my fam had about 13-15 morales floating between the attackers in the end.
