Topic: Honda Accord vs Honda Civic

ok, my friend is having a hard time deciding

i told him niether tongue, but he wants to buy either the accord or the civic

the accord-
2003 model
2.4L engine
black on black
pw,pl
$12,500

the civic
2004 model
1.8L engine
black on grey
pw,pl
around $14,000


i told him from those two choices, to go for the accord, he's worried about the gas, but i researched it a little, and found this interesting post on yahoo answers, and someone who had actually done the math, it would only make a diffference of about $3 a week, if you drive the car around 20K km's per year, which is not a big difference at all, the accord is all together bigger, nicer looking, and more room offcourse, and the engine is even smoother

anyone here with any experience with cars, anyone driven both of them, or jus plain opinion, what do you guys think?

oh my bad...that's what i was forgetting

the accord is 104 000 Km's

and the civic is around 78 000 km's

why do you say civic lex?

I would also say neither, based on your brief description I think both vehicles are a bit too expensive in my opinion;

as for whether to pick that's a hard one; it also depends on how long the guy intends to be driving with it, if it's a short term car I'd go for the accord

yell, this is the cheapest "good" car you'll find in canada

cheaper is a rusty manual 1999 volkswagon jetta

trust me canada is very very very expensive when it comes to cars...especially where i live, i live in the most populated area in canada, with a big market, you would think that would drive prices down, because of competition, but those dealerships get em really expensive, and sell them fro even more

it costs about $4500, to get it certified in canada, get it approoved, get a vin history of it in canda, buy a license plate, and A LOT of hasslee...takes too much time, and worry lol

trust me, if i could do that without so much over spending and do it easily..i would've a long time ago tongue
