5% RC 95% CF ![]()

There is no such percentage to be honest, because unlike with TOs, RCs are not a building you want to keep at a constant level through the round.
If you want some general pointers i would say that you should not be getting RCs before around 100% OB, then you can go up to as much as 30% RCs imo, while waiting for portalling, family jumps and more planets, eventually you will want the RCs either to be demolished and replaced, or just make sure you dont build too many of them so that in the end they are not a problem to keep.
Personally i like to use either science planets in the family, or get a load of RCs before portalling, getting eco to 40%ish and con to 30%ish and then portal. After that RCs can easily be demolished and replaced with CFs in a jump, or they can be kept for a little while longer to increase eco science some more, but imo as a HC banker you will want to eventually replace them with some TOs once your eco science makes the income of CF outperform RCs.
with 50% eco science the income of a CF is
8*1,5*1,5*1,125 = 20,25 so the turning point is around here somewhat
I'd go 100% CF and only ob with RC's when you have cash to do it but you don't have the cash/iron to do a proper CF OBing. then just kill the RC's when you do a proper CF ob.
As for the con/income ratio choice.. I am not sure what is best ![]()
nice thread!
Noir, do you think the game would benefit from a pre-made race based around a banker with speed? Basically a cf/rc with speed for retakes/raids. I think this would be fun.
That kind of race has been seen used alot when bankers are playing by themselves in SD etc.
I would say that speed is always fun, but its a luxury, in a normal round, i would be very carefull about sacrificing income research or operations for the sake of speed. Its not that speed isnt usefull, its just less important than thoose other thinngs imo.
If you want additional players to help with retakes etc, id sugest starting with resourcers, because they have the racepoints to get both speed and attack.
Designing a pre-made race giving bankers a race that got some extra speed without sacrificing too much other stuff, in my opinion could actually make the game more interesting, because it would allow bankers to be more active and do more stuff besides producxing cash! Good sugestion!
I agree. Imo the majority of active players in this game are all bankers yet they are so confined to do anything in war. A speedy banker who can fight, maybe with the sacrifice of Tax Offices, would increase gameplay.
Also, any idea how research planets work? im still not sure ![]()
If a research planet has say +50, that means that there are 50 "hidden" RCs on the planet, so the planet will produce research points.
The planet will however not boost any income from additional RCs you build on the planet
Will you get/want tag points for this thread? ![]()
If so, to what tag?

Is it 50*20*1.Science Bonus? Or not including Race bonus?
I just checked, it does include race bonus.
Noir,
Could you explain how a pop banker infra jump ideally would work, and when to commence it. First invest in econ and welfare.. when they are both at 50% start thinking about a jump? Then what? Heavily invest in cons bonus? Kill army? A few storms maybe to shrink NW? From what ob percentage would it be lucrative?
I would really like to see (and learn from) a detailed description of how a banker should/could jump.
thanks
You see to allready ahve quite a good overview about what the clues are.
I would say that you should try to do jumps if you plan to move above 200% OB, and if you have alot of planets maybe allready at 100%. In the end that is very dependant on your family also tho.
What you do is basicly fund construction to something like 40% (can be calculated more precisely) and then kill most your fleet, and have an opper hypnotize your population (3-4 times)
This will supress your nw by alot, and empire size overbuild should drop drastically, and science jump up to almost 60% construction
You will now be building at probably under half the previous cost, and with your and your familys savings you can double your infra, and balance it as you wish between LQs and TOs
When the pop regrows you most likely will want to get some more into science and put it back on welfare and eco to adjust for your new and higher nw
Alright tnx a lot Noir!
What would you advise, a custom banker with 50% income, 50% science, 10% popgrowth or a revalon banker?
What would be your ideal custom banker race? ![]()
Depends what you wanna do, but in general id recommend something like:
-30% Attack
-30% Pop Growth
-30% Magic
50% Income
50% Science
Spells:
Space amazement
Operations:
Planetary Infrastructure
Investigate portal
Destroy Units
Destroy Cash
Place Nukes
Infiltrate
( Add 3 more ops u want)
Specials:
Tax Offices
I think he meant pop custom race.
I'll let you do it Noir, keep it up ![]()
I meant cf/rc sorry about that
and thanks Noir!
but wouldn't mind knowing a good custom pop banker race either ![]()
I want the answer to the first question. Calculate for equal military, attacking fleet of droids and calculate seperately for
1) defending fleet of pure soldiers
2) defending fleet of pure droids
ofc i wont answer that right before our war!
