Topic: IC Fleet Boss (Google Chrome)

Beside what the title says, IC Map Link and IC Fleet Boss should work in Chrome and FireFox/GreaseMonkey (v0.9.8+).

Yeah just 1 thing: you have to install map links too. It gives a message and it's quite logical if you think about it but still, surprised me a little tongue

Didn't even know you could install scripts like this on chrome before doing this. lol

Hehe, ye. I did not deleted that part from the script, because to let people know that scripts is still worth it.
The coords in the messages may be clickable now, but in logs and forum it isn't and I launch lot of fleet from there wink

To be honest I'm quite surprised Chrome has this support, but I like it so far big_smile

I think I've found a tiny lil bug. When you go to fam news and press a to directly attack the planet it just openes the regular planet screen. I'm not sure but i thought it was supposed to open that screen you send your fleet from?

this google chrome one doesn't require greasemonkey... Just map links which can be found through this link:

then just click the lime-green button saying "Install" with below it the text "How do I use this?" in the upper right corner.
(Do not click any big green buttons saying "Download", they are ads)

ah yeah Aleph you might be right tongue.

Obviously you have to press a, then click on the coord you wish to attacking (opening the fleet-sending page), and actually click to send the fleet :\ If only it were like you could attack by just pressing a haha, would spare me  alot of time!

when you have co-ords on your page i.e 12;25:19.. (I have to) right click mouse then hold control + a or you can (supposedly) just hold control + a then the planet number will turn either Red\Attack or Green\Station. or maybe you mean something else..

At times when opening a large amount of system windows in different tabs, it'll give a fake bug report saying to make sure IC Map Links is running before Fleet Boss. Now this wouldn't necessarily be annoying, were it not for the fact that whenever said report pops up the browser automatically switches to that tab.

Weird thing is, this has only started happening recently... so I'd like to know, is anyone else getting these fake reports?

I tested your situation today several times (got loads of server busy messages ;-)).
I got it 1 time, but not sure where it comes from.

As far I know the script is executed when the page is retreived (so all the links should already be readable).
The most logical explanation (imo) is that this script is executed before the IC Map Links script. Although there is a little delay in this script, it seems it runs faster in some situations than when the Map Links script is ready.

All I can do is:
1) Make the delay a little longer;
2) When the script notices there is an unconverted planet link, hold executing and process when it is converted.

To be honest I dont feel doing option 2, as this occurs rarely.

Yeah it's really minor and uncommon, doesn't really need a fix.
Plus fleet boss still works in those tabs, which is kind of strange. I do get the bug message but it just works normally. (although this might be because the fleet input happens in a different page than the system page on which the bug message pops up).

Just thought I'd point it out so other people don't panic over it tongue.

Uhm,

Don't know whether it has got anything to do with recent changes, but my flees boss wont work anymore. All of a sudden, worked fine before..

Apart from that I can't even click on coords in msgs, so Im pretty much screwed sending fleets. Is this just me? tongue I have already checked my tools, and both fleet boss and ic map links are enabled

When I sent coords to my own with ingame messages and I press 'A' I see the planet links turning red and they bring me to the attack page.

However I did notice you have to click on the page first. Thus when your messages are loaded click somewhere on the page (not the left part where the menu is located). Look if this helps.

If this didn't help let me know whether you are using the Fleet Boss for Chrome or the regular one?

What do you exactly mean with

'you have to click on the page first'?

And yea, I send myself the coords and press 'A'. Im using fleet boss for chrome.
