Yes we are working together as an alliance. Diplomacy is part of the game and we happen to have a NAP with your ally. Nothing in the rules against that. 4700 has been outplayed in the diplomacy aspect of this game.
Yes our alliance has a better economy than 4700. We are bigger but they arent lower than 35% of our networth. We are totally within our right to attack 4700.
4700 decided to attack 4696 when we started our campaign against them. They decided to strike us and start a war with them at the same time. How is this our problem? Simple answer: its not. The leader of 4700 exhibited little to no foresight when it came to strategy.
This is a war game. Its not supposed to be fair. Our alliance is gonna take advantage of this situation and try to gain some planets. This is how the game is played. A cunning general strikes his enemy when he is most vulnerable. He tries to exploit the weaknesses while using every advantage he can. In the context of this game you do all of this while remaining within the framework of the rules. Which we have done.
So in conclusion.....4700 has nobody to blame but themselves. Their alliance failed at working together as one. They failed at diplomacy. They failed at predicting their enemy's actions. They have been the architect of their own demise.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!!
