Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

hey! avoid confrontation....dont denounce my diplo skills! conflict is all about knowing when and where to fight. dont go guns blazing, or everybody will take you down!

oh, and score would be better if you werent so penalized for deletions. tobes deleted, that's only reason we won score last round. last round was boring, no real fights. it was just an infrawhoring battle between us and ally.

Score was implemented a couple of years because people did massive nw jumps and mass botton feeding in the last day of the round to claim the 1st place in the round that was ridiculous, with score u cant do that cause score improves each tick depending on nw and p count.

You can be the most consistent fam of the round, if one of inactive players deletes the last day you drop and lose.
When score was implemented nobody liked it, and still nobody does.

Score is made for those people that can't win or play decently and need some other made up thing to be able to say they have won.

In the end you did NW jumps to raise you score higher then ours, whats the difference with EOR jumps? Oh right, you do 'm a week earlier.

Score does certainly NOT make the winner. Everybody agrees on that. Your just a sad little boy that can't win on the real score, planets.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

I concur with Gekko. Some families are lucky without deletes, some are not.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

score can't be raised easily with EOR jumps. Even if you hold the highest networth for like 2-3 ticks at EOR, you only gain a slight amount of score over others in those few ticks.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

yeah gekko doesnt understand that...

Lol, since when did score became the measurement of a family's strength?

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

erm ... isnt this discussion quite useless?
-score measures consistency of a fam's prowess (i do agree on the fact that deletions are nefarious for this way of measuring though - on the other hand, getting people involved and active is yet another job of a leader ...)
-size measures their agressiveness
-networth measures their economic power
All 3 are indicative of how good a fam is doing, and winning in any area at eor is worthy of respect. Only when a fam gets at least 2 out of 3 at eor, they can truly claim to be the victor.

When speaking your mind, it is of utmost importance to keep using it !

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

Quite well explained, although networth is not only economic power.
And planet size became quite worthless as expo phase is almost until the end of the round.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

I think score was the only thing your fam had in cap1 Joor yikes
Can't remember you having a problem with it then!

As for score, it should be a measure for consistency. However it is a flawed system and hardly paints the proper picture. It does say something, but I would not put much weight to it.

Which part of a week early do you not understand? They jumped NW over us for quite some time before EOR to lift their score wink The whole fam said so, but Lazyness just wants to live in his bubble wink

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

Oh btw, superduperwouter Leroy Brown is right, but then again, he sais what I was saying, so that makes me right too...

The thing is, its a wargame, so its about planets... If it was about consitency, it would have been called imperialconsistendbuilders or something...

Besides, who cares about consistency? To take Lazyness example:

"My fam had the best score. Do you know what score means or are you retarded ??? in a soccer match if your team do 100 attacks have 90% of ball possesion and u lost in score 2-1 who won the game ?"

You can play the whole match like a champion, but if you don't score the goals, you lose...

So if your fams sucks all round, but at the end of round kicks the shit out of the whole galaxy and takes 8000 planets, you are the winner in my opinion, regardless of your score wink

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

Elro, as everyone didn't give a crap about score, eventually even my family, I started to not give a crap about score.

Gekko do u realize that we jumped earlier cause I told them because u had a deletion in the last days of the round...

I want a mod to come here and explain who is the winner of the round cause everyone has a different opinion.

And even if we didnt won has a family we won has alliance. U also know that in the last round my fam had to battles all the rough battles for the alliance and all u did was bottom feeding. I really you were doing us more harm than good cause u took all our farm targets before us and made us sign stupid naps. Another reason for me too idle in that round. Cause my fam looked a poor small fam allied with a big, when I believe my fam was better than yours (your fam was very very good).

But it doesnt matter now

I really believe score is the most consistente thing to measure the winner (if deletion didnt affect score)

u beat us on score cus 2 ppl deleted on us at EOR

u won nothing except the most useless player award, i remember last round well, you lazyness did nothing all round lol jack didly squat. ur fam did tho, fudgeh, arby all did great job. still you didnt win but eh if it makes u feel a little bit better, shurreeeee.

Score may measure someones consistency, but still i do not agree score being a good measurement wink

Imagine a fam getting 25% ahead of another in let's say one week, the other week the 2nd fam catches in ... guess what, the first fam has more score, which is absolutely ridiculous. But indeed it's quite a stupid discussion, score sucks, nw is just because you can't win (or already won) size and size is the only rightfull winner.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

score is stupid - you can be an overly-active fam of noobs and your score will be better than others.  My fam finally got passed the fam infront of me when we have almost a mill more nw and 150 planets....but since they login more...apparently they were a better family ranking wise, lol.

The only true measure is both nw AND planets.  Gotta look at the fam as a whole.  You can sit there and say for example, a fam with 8mill NW and 1000 planets is a better fam than one with 980 planets and 12mill NW.  So it can't be one measure.

Re: MilkyWay Round 40 ~PvC~

Yes it can. It's called planet size win. The end.
