Topic: PW KoTH discussion thread

OK we have been playing PW now for a while with this new setup but we feel like it still needs improving. All of us together know more then just us moderators so we wish that you post input here about how we should improve PW for comming rounds.

If you have any good ideas about how we can improve this game type please post here and we will take everything into consideration.

something has to be done about people who start in the corner with around 15 systems to grow in more than everyone who doesn't massively shit being stuck with 5 systems that are "safe" (within 2 ticks from anyone else)

Some sort of NAP system needs putting in place for fams that have warred. As it stands, you either have to kill a fam off completely, like 14 did to 13, or hope the losing fam will accept they've lost and stop retaking, which given the style of KOTH is unlikely. A NAP that's applicable only outside of the Hill might be one/the only way of doing this?

Bigger map, 4 sectors, 2-3 hill planets in each sector in the corners, so the middle of the galaxy basically.
more systems.
8 man fams, 10 was too many.

Disable DS is good idea.
Evenly spread HS is key.

I'd like to see the return of large fams in PW, mayb a 16-18 man fam. I don't see the need for 16 fams, only afew will ever bother to compete. So bigger but less fams!

I'd like a surrender option. So instead of simply napping a family, you have to beat them or surrender to them. If you surrender, you face some sort of penalty (mayb a deduction in the KOTH score/hillcontrolled number). Then fams cant just nap and grow, they either fight of surrnder.

u guys took naps out 1st - didnt work

next u wanna take out ds? wont work also, DS is handy to have for securing hill systems, and DS is easily beaten aswell aslong as u have a brain.

18 very nearly proved that with us. Keep DS's, they're useful but you have to be useful how you use them else you'll lose them, and let's face it, they're not exactly cheap to replace...

Keep DS's, but don't allow them in red systems if possible. Makes it impossible to take over another fams red system.

u cannot take PEACE and HONOUR out of the game its simple, so there has to be some leniancy with relations.

- Place random KOTH systems thoughout the galaxy and have usual start positions and maps. Then stops a big rush to one place. And means a family needs to control the entire galaxy to win.

- Enable a HC style round so familys can be completely killed off.

- Turn off DS

peace? its a competition, you need to control all of the systems to win = kill the enemy till they can't attack/opp you anymore.

honour? wtf, really, if everyone should realise, you are in this to win it, once your dead, you're dead. there is no point in having small fams beating around in this. its not like a usual round where you go up the ranks to win, you need to hold systems.

my idea for next round if there is one:

<&Lee|away> Only Allow Cfs After A genuin War has been fought
<&Lee|away> fams could apply to high council for agreements, every war has a exit strategy all include somekind of agreement.
<&Lee|away> mods being the high council would check into the details of the war
<&Lee|away> check they did have a genuin battle
<&Lee|away> then allow a CF if eligible
<&Lee|away> and have it as mod approved, only mod approved agreements could be legit and legal

the problem with the cfs is that people share systems then...,

look at 20 and 21 atm.... they defent there systems together.

what matrix said, with any form of cf/nap means people will share and there is no point of that, why would you kill someone in a competition down to a size where in the long run, they have a possibility of growing back and biting you in the ass? all it takes is one fam to jump a guys agents/wizz and ruin a banker (pop or cf).

i can't say i know a proper solution to this, but naps won't help this, it also allows MORE IA, since friends can just say, cf me we'll fight others, then we'll cancel this cf and fight it out later.

u can still have a core agreement within a CF.

if the galaxy was bigger then yeh no naps but even still how do u end a war, seems flawed.

Simple, if its hc just kill everyone in that fam. I like serenity idea combined with hc rules.
