Topic: defense station

a defense station will destroy 1/3 of my attacking fleet.

When I send 3 trans, 1 is destroyed, along with the soldier.  Is that correct?

What happens when I send only 2 trans?  What if I send only 1 tran?

Calculate it 2 * 0.3 = 0.6.... let's ceil (round it to the highest number) it, this 0.6 becomes 1.... yay 1 trannie dead of the 2 you sent.

Not sure about soldiers though.

I think he's also talking in regards to rounding. As in 1 trannie *.3, is it rounded down to 0 or rounded up to 1. And if rounding works down, then would sending 4 be better than sending 3. In answer to this, I got nothing big_smile

If you send 4 then you would loose 1 tranny, and you would then loose 1/4 of your ground.

Better yet, if you send 5 trannies then you loose 1, but only loose 1/5 of your ground.

The most you can send without loosing anything is 2 b/c you will always loose a whole number.  There is no such thing as loosing .66666 units.  If you figure you will loose 25.999999 units then the DS will only destroy 25, not 26.
