I'm alive, further to come shortly.
didnt realize it was toowoomba til today
We had flash flooding on Monday, I was working at the time, ended up working 14 hours straight. The floods knocked out my mobile and internet. There are a lot of people that are really bad off, business destroyed, houses gone, whole families that may turn up dead. I will try and post in here again in a couple of days to let you all know I'm okay.
is there a big looting problem there gwynedd?
probably not yet, and anybody doing that would probably get the crap stomped out of them
i heard there was some going on thats why i asked, they send patrol boats out every night to minimise it.
I'm sure Gwenyedd is all over it like Little Bill in Unforgiven
"Ya think I'm kickin ya Bob...well I aint! I'm kickin all them varmints in Sydney! And Alice Springs! and Brisbane! And I'm tellin em! There ain't no flood loot in Toowoomba! An even if there was! They probably wouldn't want none! Anyhow!"
10 people have already been charged with looting..

There has been some looting, I've just finished a 68 hour week. And I've been called in on over time today. But still alive and well.

They're supposed to get a storm the size of Katrina so that's gonna be bad
stay dry Gwenydd
primo is probably writing a tell all book, "Heart of Dorkness"
They had a category 5 Cyclone land near Townsville. It was 500 km's wide (about 300 miles) with wind speeds recorded close to 300 km/h (190 ish miles/hour). That is, however, quite a distance from Toowoomba. Toowoomba is recovering, I'm on holidays, all is good at the moment.
it got reduced to a category 3 by the time it hit.. where are you on holiday? ![]()
