5 ticks would be much better previously i thought it should be around 24 ticks.

when its too short instead of king of the hill its more of opportunist of the hill.

agreed 24 would actually require you to build lasers each tick showing activity will pwn all and no one is safe if its 24 ticks.

however it makes it more harder to retain them if someone is going after them specifically..

man this will be interesting cause fams will be fighting each other to gain spread near the systems its kind of like the doughnut rumble i heard about, should make for good entertainment big_smile

will there be wars? will there people be infraing hard-out before they venture out into the system? will they want to explore asap? lol

24 ticks would be impossible to win as there'd always be someone taking/losing a planet in those systems, resetting the 24 tick count. no one would ever win.

Unless you're willing to jump some fat guy who owns all the planets in those systems with 100 mil soldiers or something crazy like that... But that wouldn't even work as someone that fat would probably take more than 24 ticks to portal up... negating all the soldiers on at least 1 planet, so then that planet could be taken...

in short: 24 hours would be impossible to win.

think of how hard it is portalling in an enemies core in a war. you really think that you could portall with the whole gal at "war" with you. I thought that the systems would be spread out horizontal and have more of them. This way you would have fams fighting over certain launch points. more like the game risk, everyone trying to hold a piece of their own and not just a free for all to blow your load in the middle. but w/e will be interesting.

yeah ok maybe 24 is too long but 1 is way too short.... some fam could win purely by luck

i'd say around 10. gives enouigh time for a round of lasers. + enough time from both timezones to be able to have a say.

yep. you have to hold all the planets in the systems with red rings. if you hold them all for a tick you win. round ends.
