Topic: Hello

I am very new at this game, but i talked to some of the players and they've told me that the key is the community. So here i am posting a semi stupid hello thread smile So Hello tongue

The reason i started to play was because a friend of mine dared me to play this game and last a round. (he didnt tell me it lasted for weeks) And yes there is money and cleaning someones appartment involved. tongue

So Here i am, playing as a banker ^^

If anyone has some tips about how to be a good banker feel free to teach me ? I really realy reallyyyyyyyy dont want to wash my friends boxers yikes

Hello!  Nice to see some new players.  There's lots of advice on banking in the Strategy forum, or if you can get on irc most of the players will be happy enough to answer any questions!

I have been reading abit ibn the forums and got some help from fam members. I have to admit that this is quite a confusing game tongue and ALOT of math yikes

I just hope that my questions aint to stupid... Ive already had a couple bloopers with ur shortening of words smile

Welcome Aelah,  Read the strategy forum for tips on banking, read the FAQ for general information.  Honestly the best way to learn is to play, talk to your family members and leader, they are the experts.  There are alot of abbreviations for things in this game, which you will learn quickly smile 

If you use Mirc or family chat, come along to #mod and #general where people are always around to answer questions and talk about the game.

I tried to connect to Irc yesterday by clicking on fam chat and enter irc. I didnt succeed but someone told me i could download irc and that it would make things easier.
My family has been very kind to me so far, and patient smile

I just posted a thread (?) in your strategy section, so i hope that it will answer some of my questions. I guess thing will be easier for me when i learn the terms and maybe som basic strategy. smile

I have a daughter so i can only play when she is sleeping (tried to play some at work but they have closed the connection so we can not play games at work) tongue. So i will read FAQ later when i have put her to bed smile

Do you know where i can download IRC ?

1. www.mIRC.com -- download and install it.
2. Open mIRC
3. Hit continue on that register popup
4. Type in a name, email address, an IC-nickname and an alternative.
5. Hit Ok
6. Click the chat bar at the bottom of window.
7. Type /server imperialconflict.com
8. Hit enter and wait till it connects you (this might take a while for slower connections)
9. Type /join #YourFamChan
10 Hit Enter.

Alternatively if you don't want to download any program, you can use www.mibbit.com , a java client chat which is wayyyyyyyyy better than the IC's chat applet.
