20 times your strength means we can lug around 'man portable' heavy guns, like TOW's, dual 50 cal machine guns, and the likes. Think of those embedded into the new suits....

If you ever played Battletech the United States will in 5-6 years be fielding the first "Toads" in the world. I expect a underslung heavy machine gun on the right arm, a grenade launcher (automatic?) underslung on the left, and a over the shoulder dual usage rocket on a shoulder. Dual usage as in tanks or aircraft.


When this starts to happen, Japan will get theirs (They worry bout China), Israel will develop a nastier version suited to their region, and England will be the last power to have them for about a decade... Are you kidding?  The Japanese aren't going to bother putting a person in a robotic suit they'll just send out robots controlled via remote by people playing Halo or CoD.

Not to mention... are you serious, Nolio?  Of all the possible military technologies developed in the past decade, this is probably one of the most easily applicable technologies to the economic sphere.  If you can't think of any reason why a company would be more efficient with people that can lift 20 times their normal strength, I'm seriously worried about you.

Humanity achieved it's position as the dominant species and has maintained it through our ability to kill things.  It is an instinctual response to turn everything we encounter into a method of defense.  When you first held a banana your mind asked, "How well could I defend myself with this?" it then came to the conclusion that it would make a very poor weapons so you ate it.

Biologically as a species we are prey, and as prey we instinctively seek out ways to hold back predators.
