Just before I started playing (or just after I forget) I managed to completely screw up a relationship with a girl where there was no need to even do the action I did to screw it up.... A friend of mine just looked at me when he heard what I did and said "You Fool!!!" And then started to refer to me as such constantly, as such I used it as my mIRC & forum name, though not as my in game name for a long time.... eventually I have used You_Fool as both an empire name and leader name.

My alt nick, Evil Princess Sara, was created due to the 8bit fam in SaggyD rd 7 with ANZAC, and the fact said girl from the story above was named Sara, thus the only name I could have was EPS.

i played a pw round with cloud once and we had an FF theme going and I chose kadaj and it stuck. I used to use insignificant, or incoherent, but they didnt have the same ring as Kadaj.

Originally i started with the name "Napolean" (was pretty young, not even sure if i was spelling the guys name right) and i would always sign my name on my posts as "- Napolean the Great"

Than after my 1st round, my leaders name was "X418" and i had left for a few months and came back to IC. I was looking around for him, but obviously he musta been a noob like me or something and quit the game. I started than using his name in an attempt for him to find me, didn't work.

Than sometime ago i was in the Penguins fam in andro i think and i had to make a name with "penguin" in it, "Xpenguin" or something like that didn't sound right, so i thought of my ultimate superhero Cloud ... the name "Cloudypenguin" was made. From there i used to sign all my post with "~ Cloud"

After playing Halo 2 (and being a complete monster at it) one of my buddies was using the name "Random Hero" and i thought "wow that's a badass nick" than started using it one of my first rounds in pw playing with flashy, and just put Admiral infront of Cloud since i was always fleet admiral and used "Admiral Cloud" as the leader name.

When I started playing IC back in the day I used several random nicknames based on things that kept me busy at that time. Some from books like Dune or The Hobbit or games such as Baldur's Gate.

As I said: I liked picking new names every round, but when I started using IRC I figured I needed something permanent. My brother was still playing back then and he and some people he knew from his fam were hanging out in #loriel. A channel made by Galadriel who didn't realize till later that it was supposed to be #lorien. Either way I was into reading lotr at that time and it seemed a fitting theme. So I checked some names on the net and there it was: Elrohir, Son of Elrond.

Later on I did regret picking the name. However, the nickname my friends called at that time 'w00t' (derived from my RL name Wouter) was already taken by someone, so I decided to leave it as Elrohir. smile

A lon,g long time ago i played Quake 3 online quite a lot, i was the leader of a clan with quite a few italian people, but had no consistant nickname, so they decided to call me Il Primo, which means The First in italian.
When I learnt about IC (through quake) I naturally copied the name, and that resulted in me being Primo, leader of Primonia and the Primonians.

my cousin and a friend were over for christmas one time when i was in high school and they made me play this game and i wanted to think of something ridiculous because wasnt sure wanted to stay and disgruntled penguins was name i came up with

I was sleeping way back in the day and then I heard a divine sound. A bright light shone into my room and an angel, made entirely out of wings, it looked like something out of a Lovecraft novel.
Anyway, it reached towards me with one of its wings and said "I don't like you." It then left.

The next morning I named myself Arocalex.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

when i started playing ic for first time, it was in pinwheel. I was "Confederate Alliance"...then next round, we tried Undead theme and came up alliance called UIA with a tag in family name. I was Undead Apocalypse so everyone call me Apoc until I quit for two years (that was about 3-4 years ago). I came back and landed in Dimpel's family. I was using several names but "Apoc" is the name everyone remember me until Apok came along and ruined my nick 'cause it was confusing everyone. Is that you, Apoc? No, that's not me! Or Is that you, Apok?! FFS that's not me!"

the problem was solved when I was playing in first round in Capricorn and we had "The Breakfast Bunch" with breakfast theme. I didn't like the theme as it sound boring to me. In order to make something fun out of empire name, I came up with "Burned Waffles" cuz waffle is round like planets and i imagine those planets burning when I send my fleets to take over.

Over time, Burned Waffles is easily remembered than "Apoc" and most of ic players I know, including Parrot, like to call me Burned Waffles and that name got stuck with it. I had old awesome avatar with Burned Waffles pic just like my current one. My current avatar is much better than old one, but same waffle and cartoon that i edited out. The old one looked like sad waffle, altho, it was suppose to be like X( but it dont work. I made second one because i lost original burned waffles avatar and it was much better. Everyone like my avatar. So I changed my name from darksider33 to Burned Waffles as my forum name out of respect for IC community.

also, burned waffles is symbolic to my past experiences of anger. I grew up with terrible temper tantrum so it's another way to see me being an angry attacker that dont stop attacking all day and night, tick by tick. so it fits my personailty as well. :-)
