Yes. The splitting of political and economic freedoms is not something exclusive for autocratic regimes mind you. You see this in our democracies as well. A staggering number of people, especially young people, have no appreciation whatsoever for their political freedom. All most people want is to be left alone and prosper economically. This is why I feel the novel Brave new world has a much more realistic totalitarian government than the government in 1984.
It's not all doom and gloom for political freedoms in the autocratic economies though. The reason why they are able to achieve rapid growth is that there are now many poor labourers in those nations working for a pittance in very unsanitary working conditions. These people will demand further increases in their economic conditions as they see the ruling political and economic elite steadily increasing their wealth. If major steps are not taken to distribute more wealth then sooner or later the basic factory and agricultural grunts will start demanding the political freedoms necessary to achieve this themselves. Such steps are hard to achieve without political influence of the poor, because the wealthy and the ruling elite tends to be opposed to any meaningful wealth distribution and so ultimately tend to get it more or less forced upon them.
As for autocracies banding together. I don't think there is a strong alliance in the making between these nations, but they will support eachother as a counterweight to US and EU political influence.
What is in the making is a downward spiral of morality in international relations. For example if it weren't for China there would probably have already been a fairly strong military intervention in darfur. The Congo now also feels less inclined to foster healthy democratic institutions that would please the west because it is pretty deeply in China's pockets right now. There are many smaller examples where China's willingness to procure economic benefits for itself regardless of the trading partner is hurting the enlightenment of the human race or however you'd want to call it. It's true that western nations haven't been too picky about their partners as well when their own interests were involved, but up until now there have always been some minute standards (like you can be an ass, but we're not going to work with you if you are total slime) that are being eroded.
