Yes I'd have a problem with that but that's because it crosses the fine line between suspicion and persecution. Putting them under surveillance yes, raiding their houses no. For example in WWII the American and Canadian governments were right to be suspicious of Japanese citizens (as well as German, Itallian, etc.) because they could very well be spies. They were not right to strip said citizens of their rights and force them in to interment camps. There is a fine but definitive line between justifiable suspicion and needless persecution.

Find a bad neighbourhood in northern Ontario, they exist. Seriously, coming from a family where I got maybe two new pairs of clothes a year (Birthday and Christmas, we was poor) I had to wear a lot of my older brother's hand me down's. Now it never got to the point I was wearing my pants half way down my ass (we had these amazing things called belts) but still I sympathize (a little) because I can relate.
