Video: Clevelanders respond to LeBron James
By Dan Devine
A week and a half ago, the question LeBron James(notes) asked was, "What should I do?"
The Nike ad spawned a series of imitators, from the minds behind "South Park," to Ohio Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher. And now, a filmmaker from the town that James spurned has created Cleveland's answer to James' advertised query:

The note accompanying the clip on YouTube, written by the directior, refers to Nike's "Rise" spot as "just more 'narcissistic, self-promotional build-up' from a guy who's [sic] actions speak louder than his words."
It also responds directly to Nike's "look in the mirror" positioning of the spot:
"This is about the difference between the expectations others may have of him versus the expectations he has of himself?" Yes, we expected greatness.
Boom, roasted.
James and his Miami Heat will travel to Cleveland to play the Cavs on Dec. 2. Hopefully they don't let Cavaliers fans bring shovels to the game.

awesome
and not just on the real "GTFO Lebron" level
some guy took a lil free time and pimpslapped the shit out of a prima donna and a sports apparel gigacorp.
and if he can do it with the help of the internet and millions of people --who can't?
is there anybody in sports who is not regarded as a overrated blowhard hasbeen, by somebody? Now that Anybody can be heard by Everybody, that somebody can be someone.
How often will Nike stand fronting a couple million for an ad, and then get shot down? It may be the end of the slick, so smart it stupid shoe ad.
Steve Jobs has ruined this joke.
