The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

Re: Oil-poll

the easiest to reach oil is running out, as that oil runs out, it will get more and more expensive to harvest oil; while the price of oil increase technology improves on alternatives to oil making them cheaper until eventually oil becomes not a viable option for fuel.  3

Re: Oil-poll

Of course oil is running out. Is it in any danger of running out soon? No. The main reasons for the high price of oil in the United States over the past several years has been the result of the Federal Reserve's loose monetary policies, as well as the increase in Chinese economic growth. Although spot oil prices are down significantly from the bubble that persisted from 2008 to earlier this year, they remain in the $75-$80 per barrel range, and both of the aforementioned forces have combined to counteract any meaningful downward pressure on the price of oil.

I go with 3

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Oil-poll

and the ROI? Cause I think that is where the debate lies.

Re: Oil-poll

well there will always be publisized oil-crisis this justifies oil price rises. meanwhile projections of oil well reserves change due to new technology that makes it pssible to seperate poil from sand, deep sea drilling(which is severely dangerous due to possible spills or well collapses) and the new and wonderful plastic trash into oil converter. now this isnt a good idea in any sense. it costs energy to convert and makes trash even more harmful to us in the end hmm. so the answer i propose is once oil is literally at its near end you will see country-wide rationing of reservers
