yeah so I'm alone in a hotel room now for a couple of days and I went about strolling through the restaraunt neighbourhood of the town thinking I'd go find a nice almost empty place where I could eat some diner in peace and read a book but as I was reconnoitering I noticed that all of these places were chock full of people and I was too affraid to enter alone and have all those people look at me like I was some excentric lunatic eating his diner alone in a restaurant sad

end result being I'm eating some fries who are woefully underendowed in the mayonnaise department along with a hamburger alone in my hotel room as I'm surfing the web with the free wifi

I realise that for some people on the internet this is just a description of an average day in their life but damn I'm such a wussy for pussying out on my diner plans X(

nah thats normal, i wouldnt want to be seen eating alone at a restaurant.  the only place you can really get away with that is sitting by yourself at a sports bar and pretending youre interested in whatever game is being played at the time

I ask myself that question right after every time I finish my mayonaise drenched fries. It's a guilty pleasure from my youth + I normally only get to eat the fake mayo that goes by the name of "dressing" so I go ballistic on the stuff when I'm out alone yikes

I don't think people eating alone in restaurants with a book are weird.

Man up and ignore them, especially if you're not near somewhere you live.

Though eating food in your hotel room and browsing the interwebs is equally as good.

Okay maybe cheese is good on fries, but you need to try Carls Jr's (Hardee's on the east coast) BBQ sauce on fries. Once you've experienced delight like that you'll never bee able to eat anything else on fries.

there's nothing wrong with mayonaise with fries (i rather like it) however they shouldn't be drenched in it.

ketchup works really well with it as well, and i'd love to try cheese, but they don't do that here, fricking belgians sad

Sir Digby, cheese on fries is pretty nice.. you have to take crappy cheddar cheese for that, cuz real cheese doesn't taste good on fries tongue together with some bacon and a touch of mayonaise.. its pretty good smile You have to make it yourself if you're from Belgium (like primo said) cuz they don't make it here
