What are the exact differences between the two? I want to know specifics...thanks...

Basically the difference is that there is no morale, no networth protection (anyone can attack anyone), and you can (or used to be able to) attack someone's homeplanet directly (effectively wiping them out I think).

Outside of that, nothing.

interesting discussion here... just wondered in HC.. what use is there in the option to declare war... if you can just run amok?  I can see the idea of no moral.. so you can hit, hit, and hit again with out inpunity.  Makes for a great fight.  Just moving into a home system with no declaration.. well.. Hard Core.. or Pearl Harbour....

Maybe Hard Core should be redefined as Pearl Harbour.

You also receive a 10% attacking bonus when you attack some one on which you have declared war wink
