_I put myself behind one of the docking lines and waited until it was my turn. And as it turns out I was in for another surprise.
The last time a camaar passed here, a friendly that is, was some 200 years ago. Guess when construction of this station started.
Meaning they don't have anything that'll fit without harming the construction around the doors. Possibly destroying it, perhaps sucking myself into space as this happens

_I know relavons have to take in every ship willing to dock in times of peace. It's the law. But still the guy in charge of this place had the nerve to question it. This is what he said, hold on I have it as a recording..
"We on spacedock 32e23p also known as the Ventura regret to inform you that we are unable to take you in. Our docking mechanism doesn't allow for it. We hope you will comply by moving your ship back out, they might be able to help you planet side."

_Obviously I set the man straight but he replied something along the lines of 'The system is not relavon and therefore we aren't bound by it's rules.' And some other stuff.
I was on the verge of complying with him as the docking clamps disengaged, well, more like let me go as they didn't really clamp down in the first place.
But I remembered the perigrines trailing me. I quickly informed the man that a couple of ships were still in long range communications range. He glanced at what I imagine to be his wall and then said ok.

_Score one for me.
_...
_They are taking their sweet time though.

_It took them a total of eight hours to retrofit a docking port.
And it looks like Relavons are the most boring people in the world, the only thing I could find on subnet locally was politics. I seriously need to attach a long distance reader so I can connect to other planets that have a slightly larger variation of programs.
All of that put aside, as soon as I felt Relavon air brush against my face for the first time(it felt kind thick for some reason) I was greeted by this weird looking fellow, lots of arms, two legs. Slightly greyish tone, obviously not human. He welcomed me and then informed me that I didn't have long range communications, he doesn't look anything like on the display.

_He calls himself commissioner ImmotkaSomethingSomethingSomething but I got to call him Immo as I took him on a tour of the ship while Everybody cleared out of the access hatch. It was filled to the brim with machinery and whatnot.
At first he found me odd looking for a cammaar until I told him the situation back home, later he kinda grew on me.
Turns out his great grandfather helped design some Relavon ship that was based on this 'form' of the ship. I didn't quite get what he meant with form. I'll have to ask him later when I get the chance.

_Turns out he had an offer for me, that's why he wanted to be secluded from outside. He tells me that he knows someone that will teach me the important functions of the ship, how to make it go really fast, using communications decently, fit some new tech on it and maybe weapons, IF I do an errand for him.

_He just left and I've been left here with his proposal, on one hand it would be nice to know a little more about this ship. Immo assured me this person had much knowledge about the ship. And on the other hand I have this bad feeling, he hasn't mentioned what it could be. What if it's this animal in a container and it breaches the container because someone went with the cheap version and then it kills everyone on board, like me. Or if it's this poisonous gas and I get chased by mercenaries that want itand they shoot at me and the container busts open. Maybe it's a soul of the dead and if it escapes it will take over my body, or it's this weapons module that accidentally fuses with the ship and I get shot down, or....I... I really need to spend less time reading those Bloodmoon books.

_Immo's 'guy' arrived, he's rather big, they are escorting him across the airlock right now, wow, he is massive. He has this cloak like thing going on, his face is mostly covered. Can't make out his face. //"Hey, who are you talking to?"\\ Uhm, nothi/end.

_I can't believe it's been 9 days since my last entry, time flies when you do what you like. First couple of days he thought me around the controls and various sections of the ship, you would think a man his size would have trouble making his way around a spaceship, but he almost seems to dance. I mean, he moves around using his hands and feet at the same time. I thought the rails on top were meant to be used in zero-g but seems like it was built with this kind of movement in mind. I had to catch up to him numerous times when he enters these holes in the wall leading to sensitive compartments, they can be very confusing. There is a very large room made out of capacitors, the entire room is filled with them. Back-up power, enough to last a long time if main power goes out. But I'm not allowed into main generator area, no one is. If anything happens to it I'm supposed to just wait until the ship fixes itself, it still kinda bothers me ya'know, a ship being 'alive'. Also, the big dude never gave me his name, so I'm calling him big dude; he kinda likes it.
He also never removes he cloak and somehow, even if I shine a light right into his face I still can't see him, kinda creepy but he means well I guess. He even grabs me up when I fall down, lightning fast reflexes. And he's strong, sooooo strong.

_While Nephren-Ka was mostly a disappointing from the standpoint of a tourist checking out the endless horizons of the universe, it was very interesting from a scholary point of view(if that is a word). Learned a lot of new things about this ship, seen some odd people, species and tasted some peculiar things. But it was very mild compared to some of the stuff I saw from the newsreels down on the ground. Apparently there is a war going on between the two original species that evolved here(they kept repeating that bit of information because it kept the relevons from interfering.) You wouldn't know there was anything going on except for the occasional brawl up here but the animosity, at first I didn't see it either but after a while you see the start to notice the looks...Terrifying.
From what I gather the two nations both got high end missile deflection and interception techs facilities by the Relevons holding major city centres. But almost all the fighting is done near a mountain where a prophet is supposed to come down from and will help the righteous that are protecting that location. It sounds almost unreal, high tech trench fighting, I thought that was the thing of space novels and Talus myths.

_Apparently I have a "modular" docking bay. A long wide hatch opens near the back of the ship. Oh, and they brought it inside while I was in the hospital, I think I forgot to mention that, some dude with a lifter arrived with this big rectangular thing, it looked like a slab of metal to me. Anyway he starts to drive towards the gap which seemed a bit too small for me, and for the dude. He got out and got on the phone with Immo who replied with "Shove the damn thing in, it will fit." So he did, kind of weary at first but after a while he really drove into it with force, the hole started to widen and eventually he got the thing in, and made the ship a bit bigger.

I keep coming back to the ship 'being alive'. And thinking about the scene I just saw, I- uhh, I shudder to think what that meant to the ship.

_I'm working on reprogramming the navigation computer like big dude told me. The route that was planned out for me is really boring I can't sit on my arse all day and read books I don't understand. What does changing the prefabulated ambiplate to achieve transmodulation even mean? Stupid science books, I should have gotten more Bloodmoon books, even though they scare the crap out of me at least I wouldn't be bored. I'm getting close to a system I charted out myself, it had a warning indicator that there was a black hole nearby, I'm hoping I can see a planet go down the drain on visuals, sensors are already reporting higher then normal gravity and I think I see a two blobs of gravity with the scanner, so maybe one big planet and one black hole.
If that doesn't pan out next stop is a garden planet that's supposed to have swarms of flying ants, should be fun for the ship to eat.

_Damn space-time anomilies
32:07:79
_After sinking time into black hole I have come to the conclusion that any black hole related incidents will only result with my ever so precious time being sucked into it. At least the ship is having a good time herding these bugs into its 'orifices ', I said it could go hunt when we reached orbit and it just sat there waiting, I told it again that it could go hunt and uhm, it replied something along the lines of "you're not coming?" I guess it wanted me to pilot it, getting behind the reigns I swooped into the atmosphere, almost forgetting the correct decent angle then I searched for the bugs but I had the scanner or ultraviolet and when I did manage to find a group they just scattered when I got close, I just told it to go hunt alone. He w- IT was disappointed but it's having fun now and that's what counts.
I still have a lot to learn...

_While the ship ate, I made a nice meal for myself, mostly space food with a dash of quality sugar. I figure I'll have to cut back someday so I'm not eating the good stuff until  I reach where I'm supposed to be.
After leaving the planet and getting back under way, I was kind of bored again so the ship told me to look under the bed. It was a book, written in Camaar. I don't actually know any Camaar so I started digging for books and translators on the subnet(packet loss is at 40%, could be the black hole)
I'm a couple hours in and I might have the book cover translated.

Hopefully it will have huge canyons where I can test manoeuvring again. Kinda been practising with the stick for a while and my confidence is brewing.
_About to hit the outer nodes for local information.

_Found a good place to stash my ship, a rich Camaar enthusiast got the report on my ship, as did the customs officials circling me. He said he'd deal with the officials if he got to see the inside of my ship, free docking and getting local police off my back, all for a ten minute tour? Yes please.

_I'm in geosynchronous orbit for the time being and three rather mean looking ships are circling me, a lot meaner then the ships from before. They ordered me to turn off my sensors long before they got within range. But I had already turned active sensors off long before I entered their space, common etiquette according to most traders or so the books tell me.

From the windows, when the sun hits them just right I can make out some mean looking cannons sticking out of their otherwise flat surface, they're are probably light ships made just for space combat because they aint making it to the ground with that profile.

I think it'll be a couple more hours atleast until the rich bloke can help me out, because this doesn't seem like they get any camaar up here.

_After I deliver this cargo to where it needs to go I'm heading home, I can't deal handle this, it's too much.

_I guess I'll have to explain it to you...
What started off great nearly ended with me being captured and sent to a prison.
It all started when I finally got clearance to go down to the planet. I had to put myself down near a large mansion that had its own personal launchpad. On the way down I spotted a sprawling city that seemed to be recovering from a disaster,  at the time it wasn't important but there were ruins dotted the horizon.
After touching down I met my benefactor, he was rather charming and in lieu of a tour of the ship he was going to take me to see a parade downtown the day after. The next day we spent with him showing off his rather elaborate mansion and the history of the planet in beautiful tapestries, the next day we head out to the parade.
When we get there, sitting in a private booth on one side of a large square, soldiers, tanks and whatnot marched across, obviously a nation proud of its military. But behind them there were lots of ships made out of light material that kind of floated on the air. First came their own ships, I recognized them because they looked similar to the things I saw in orbit. Behind them came Camaar ships. I was uneasy seeing ships that resembled my own though slightly different, others were very alien to what I thought Camaar ships were, much larger and a lot more menacing.
All the ships gathered in the square, the Camaar ships in the center the others all around them, what happened next was scared the hell out of me, they burned them, every single Camaar ship lit up in an instant inferno reaching high above. I told Jonah, Jonah Jackson to take me back to his mansion because I wasn't feeling too well, what I really wanted was to leave, I had a feeling they didn't really like the Camaar and Jonah explained why on the way back.
They were under constant threat from Camaar that would kidnap people and steal recourses, it culminated in an all out war once the planet united itself under one common banner and aggressively funded into space defense programs, I would have thought the Camaar would have just moved somewhere else but apparently these people had killed a big ship with a lot of people on it and the Camaar were not happy.
It ended when they had lured the camaar near one of their moons, it was outfitted with a very, very large array of cheap missiles, it did not end very well for the Camaar.
When...w-when we g-got back to the ship....

--

_We took a low flight path but I could see smoke, lots of black smoke reaching high into the atmosphere.
Occasionally a huge electrical arc would shoot through the  smoke from the launch platform, none of this made me feel any better. My stomach became a knot of emotions and Jonah looked equally worried, as we got closer I saw that the entire platform was surrounded by tanks and hundreds of other trucks and personnel carriers.
I immediately felt myself surrounded with a sense of dread, dark shadows crept up all around me and I started to get dizzy. We landed a bit away from the platform, right outside the cordon the military had set up and in a split second, before I had even realized what had happened I was hit right in the face, in handcuffs and being dragged up the steps to the launch pad, I felt something warm drip down from my forehead to the tip of my nose, it tasted metallic and I reckon it was blood. They threw me to the ground and I could hear rapid discharges of electricity pulsing freely through the air, each one made a different sound. Sometimes  a scream accompanied  them or the shuffling footsteps of a hundred standard issue boots.
Then they-.... It's getting late, I'll continue tomorrow, I really need some rest.

Re: It's a funny old world.

1:08:79
_A new month and I start it with a huge hangover, this is seriously the last time I get wasted, the last time and I mean it.
2:08:79
_I didn't sober up yesterday so it doesn't count. Starting tomorrow no more getting waste- my head hurts.

_So... lets pick up where we left off,
They let me soak in my blood face down on the ground, the cool ground was cool at first but the smell nauseated me. They picked me up and I could see what they were doing. My ship, this ship, was fighting them off. He had pushed out what seemed to be tendrils from its abdomen, the sparks exploded away from their tips and into a crowd of people that were standing behind iron barricades. The huge pillar of black smoke I saw flowed from the entire length of the ship outwards. I saw a Faraday cage on its side right next to the ship. The smoke was eating away at it, but not regular smoke, with a second look I saw that it flowed down at first, surrounding the entire base of the craft and then as it warmed by the surrounding air it shot up like regular smoke from a chimney. But the men were smart, they were building a cage around it at a safe distance that they would just bring towards the center and then just pick my ship up and leave. But I wasn't going to have none of that so I tried to break free, one of the men punched me in my stomach, they had obviously never heard that you shouldn't hurt a lady. They asked me to make it the ship stop it, I just kept my mouth shut while they rambled on about treaties and extradition and bla bla bla, getting out of there was my only goal so I just waited. Right about then  Jonah stepped in and demanded they let go of me as I because I had done nothing wrong, he had to shout for a good three minutes before the soldiers dropped me to the floor again. I looked up to the ship and I knew it saw that I was looking, because for the briefest second I saw the smoke clear around the entrance hatch and it cloaked back into darkness just as fast. I got up and I ran, lightning struck around me, I could hear men scream anger and in pain. Something hot streaked across my cheek and I found myself in total silence right before I got squished in a corner when the ship took off, blazing a trail across the skies.

I had to dodge some mines and cruisers on the way but I made it without a single scratch, kind of impressed myself with that. The whole event left me with a scar right above my eyebrows and a big ugly line of disformed skin along my cheek. I'm totally going to get the one on my cheek removed but I'm keeping other one. Looks kind of good on me.
Ship is eating at the moment, that work out really made it hungry.

_Sorry for not making an entry for so long but I was sobbing in a corner, it's all out of my system though and you can look forward to some more horrible stories that don't end well for me now.
It's been awful quiet, it seems I've grown accustomed to the constant hum of the electronics. Right now I can't hear anything but the sounds of my own breath.
_I just realized that it's already been more then a month since I left and I've yet to contact home once.
