Topic: Sign up for game?

So, I'm somewhat despondent with the state of the RP forum.  I could just go ahead and write the story in my mind solo, but I would much prefer a collaborative story.  You can find some background

You don't have to read all, but skimming some would give you a basic understanding of the world and we can discuss potential story lines.

I intend to start writing within 2 weeks, with each contributors writing their part roughly once a week, but if enough sign up we may increase the rate of posting of additions so it is closer to 3 new additions a week.

Of course if you want more info of the game itself you can ask here as well big_smile.  It has a 14 day trial, or a 21 day trial through steam.

what's the scope of this? What kind of level up the chain in command are we talking about?

That's what we can work out in the OOC.  I have the rough frame work for a solo story, but since the story is already worked out it would not make a good one for a joint project.  Depending on how many we get we could do a mock battle in the Eve world, we could make up our own back story,  anything.

A note about the videos each has a single pilot, so 100 ships are one hundred pilots.  My solo story will focus on a single pilot who will be key in the unfolding story but also a pawn being used my bigger players.  If we are doing a joint project we may have to increase the scale or make those individual pilots be leaders in warring corporations.

Actually,
Watch this and that should give you some ideas. It's a Machinica? set in the [what game?].  I have no intention to follow this story but it should give you an idea of what is possible.

Note there are 2 movies, I'd suggest watching the 3? 4? parts of the original clear skies movie first.

hmm, I know about eve though much of the backstory is unknown to me, though I'd like to hear your concept because the idea might seem a bit bland if you know what I mean.

Lone people trying to make a living, it's been done though I wouldn't object to do one since it's something I like to read and perhaps write.

Well my story isn't about just making a living, it's a bit of expansion of what happened for the last 4 months for one of my characters in [what game?].  I was kicked out of a corporation.  It's not the greatest story which is why it is just a framework.  How about this since I think you are offering to work with me on a joint project, which by the way is opened to anyone else to speak up, suggest a rough draft for a story or alteast a setting.  We could do ole Gallente/Caldari who know each other but got ripped apart by the war, Amarrian bigotry, make up some crap about Jovian background.  Actually the story of the collapsing of the [what game?] gate itself might be interesting.

big_smile well my computer actually walked away so if you can hack to do that you are awesome.

Ok I found some good stories for you to read.  I'll be Gallente, you be Caldari, but I grabbed most of the Gallente/Caldari stories that I could find.  You don't have to read em all but I figured it would give you some background.  I'll try and get my first post up this weekend, then you do yours a week later.  If someone is interested in joinning in they can still speak up.  The stories are roughly in reverse time line order so the ones at the bottom of the list are most appropriate for the Gallente/Caldari war.
