Topic: Stream online movies

Anyone know where its best to stream online movies from?

Im looking for a new up to date listings from the website.. as well as good quality movies.. also had to be free and not full of adverts if possible...

right now the only one i managed to get working plays half a movie then stops and is like "wait an hour till you can finish watching the movie"

You still have to pay for admission and if you work under a cheapskate you don't even get a discount.

I used to work at a movie theater. We got free Drinks popcorn during our break, and we were allowed to bring up to 6 family members and 1 guest for free movies. We also got to watch movies before they were released during the technical screening.

The wages are crap though.

why don't you just download your stuff from sites like releaselog and scenesource?? megavideo in general is pretty good, but you have to be quick to get live links

(edit: just for clarity's sake these sites contain links to other sites like megaupload, netload, rapidshare and a whole load of others)

pirating isn't stealing, its pirating.... theres a huge difference... if i download a movie am i taking someone else's movie? nope. is me downloading the movie somehow taking money out of someone's pocket? no. if i don't watch the movie at all or if i only watch a pirated version, theres no difference to anyone but me.

since the copyright owner has a legal title giving him exclusive rights, you are defrauding him of profits. you don't have the legal right to decide to watch and don't pay, you only have the right to choose between either paying and watching or not paying and not watching

I don't mind a bit of pirating, but let's not kid anyone... it is freeriding

what does legality have to do with whether or not its stealing? i agree, its illegal. but everything that is illegal is not stealing. Pirating isn't stealing. someone is giving me a copy of the movie, and them giving me a copy of the movie is not having any negative effect on the copyright owner, he is victimless, he would see no more money if i didn't see a pirated copy of a movie for free; he actually benefits because i am more likely to buy the movie after seeing the pirated version, if i actually liked it.

it's not stealing because in most legal systems you can only steal physical objects and only if you have the intention to permanently take them from their owner. But you are incorrect that it doesn't influence anyone but yourself.

You don't have the right to do decide this for yourself. If you watch it the law says you have to pay. If you don't want to watch it then you don't have to pay. Watching without paying is simply not a choice that is legally available to you (excepting legal exceptions like family showings and such of course). That you may or may not be willing to pay to watch is entirely irrelevant. The copyright holder has a right to his income as soon as you decide to watch and therefore illegal viewings cost him money he is rightfully entitled to. It's really simple. If you agree that it is illegal then it's pretty weird not to acknowledge this, you can be assured that if you're ever in court for copyright violations your argument would be laughed at and you would owe the copyright holder mucho cash.

Also the argument "omg it was soooo goooood that I decided to buy it" is really contrived, almost nobody does this (duuhhhh) and even how much of those purchases are at a reduced price rather than the high initial offering price?

If he downloads the movie and sells them its stealing, if he watches a movie someone else has obtained through illegal means hes not at fualt the person who uploaded it was
