Topic: Dinosaurs and Humans

To Counter the wrong versions of evolution, I present this:

Thus Mammoths live on

Thus man saw, and made art of dinosaurs.

The center of this one is silly, but the exterior shows true artifacts

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

The only thing shocking in this thread is the lack of value of any of those links.

How does this disprove anything about evolution?

The Bardia Mammoth is widely believed to be a recent mutation to a group of elephants that live in a certain area. Which is pretty much what evolution is about.

The 2nd link shows us pictures, pictures of what? A lot of them just look like pictures of lizzards of some sort.
Besides, there are still dinosaurs alive, look at the crocodile, the komodo dragon and the shark is even from around that age, if i recall.
Not to mention the fact that bodies can be preserved in mud and ice pretty well, so they could have found bones, or even "mummies".

And I think this whole post completly lost all credibility (and that goes for you too) when you posted a link to yahoo questions as proof.

dinosaurs were supposed to have gone extinct 65 million years ago while man supposed to have started walking on the earth closer to 10k years ago, even if you give humans way more time on the earth, say we have been on the earth for 7 millions years...  58 million years is still way too long for a naturally preserved corpse to last.

while crocodiles, komodo dragons, and sharks did exist during the age of dinosaurs, they are/were not dinosaurs. also, the pictures provided were not pictures of crocodiles, komodo gradons, or sharks...

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

In order to prove to myself that I am so special that ONLY A DIVINE BEING COULD HAVE CREATED ME I shall now conduct the following hissy-fit at evolution:

A black and white picture of an elephant in a river:
http://www.dinosaursandman.com/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=15&page=view&catid=18&PageNo=1&key=0&hit=1
Just don't check if this quoted part also applies to "normal" elephants too, as my fragile mind cannot handle the implications; "Dr Adrian Lister of the University of London preformed DNA tests linking them to the giant elephant allegedly extinct over 50 Million years ago.".

Sourceless pictures:
http://www.dinosaursandman.com/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=15&catid=1
It's a Triceratops not a Wildebeest, it's Parasaurolophus not an Armadillo, it's a fire-breathing dinosaur with three jaws on an exposed piece of rock that has been protected for thousands of years by the love of Jesus and not some unsubstantiated flight of fancy poorly situated next to evidence of continuous erosion....
...Shit, I can't keep this up any more! Have you seen the dates on some of those things? AD 750-1200 for an image of a man next to an image of a long-neck! Pfft...

I like how  one assumes nobody found skelentons unttill last century...

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

Why do you only ever post the most shitty links to completely uncredible sources?

So you've posted a link to "ancient rock drawings" which frankly could have been done last week, to things which "look like dinosaurs" but also look like any other animal which could have credibly existed.

Remeber that people see images of Jesus in cut tomatoes or toast or damp marks on walls.

Carbon dating when two results match but are supposedly different era's then they call it an error.

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

Flint are you now going for the creationistic tour now?
What you trying to prove absolutely goes against every single principle of the evolution theory. And it's as simplistic as "the gods were astronauts"-theories.

What lies at the heart of the discussion, really, is the definition of the word "dinosaurs". It's not a perfectly defined and outlined group of animals. A crocodile makes an interesting case in this particular matter. It's from that era and it is a lizard..

"Carbon dating when two results match but are supposedly different era's then they call it an error."

Carbon dating is not possible on fossils, Flint.

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

I believe the definition of a dinosaur is to do with hip structure. A dinosaurs legs stick straight down from it's body unlike other reptiles (such as crocodiles) whose legs go outwards.

Dinosaurs don't survive today because the larger ones were wiped out by some event or other, which is often thougt to be an asteroid collision - larger animals find it harder to adapt to quickly changing conditions or to recover from sudden population drops due to the length of the breeding cycle. Smaller dinosaurs are believed to have been the forefathers of modern birds (so do survive today in a way, they just aren't dinosaurs anymore).

How crocodiles survived in a largely unchanged state I don't know, but they are clearly an anomaly.

Re: Dinosaurs and Humans

@FLINT
You can choose to ignore any question you (dis)like:

1) Do you believe humans and dinosaurs walked the Earth at the same time?

2) Do you believe the Earth is not 4 billion years old?

3) Do you believe the Earth is 6000 years old?

4) Do you believe the Earth was created in seven days?

5) Are you aware that, according to the transcriptions of the oldest bibles, the word "day" was mis-translated from the word "age"

6) Are you aware that the bible as we know it today was written by mortal, fallible, selfish men?

7) What was our level of technology at the time we allegedly walked with dinosaurs? Stone-age? Bronze age? Pointy stick age (for want of a better term)?

8) How would any buildings, and therefore any towns or cities, have withstood a herd of migrating longnecks?

9) Given that even now humans, without our mighty guns and bullets, die very quickly when versus nature (bears, snakes, crocodiles, dogs, wolves, big cats, mountain lions, komodo dragons); Why weren't we eaten out of existence by the many carnivores that were either much bigger than us (T-Rex, Alasaur, etc) better built/designed than us (eg. our max speed is 5 mph but even a plant eater like Triceratops could do 15mph) or simply more numerous or more dangerous than us (Raptor)?

10) Given the fact that everything in nature today is better designed than us regarding simple survival, and that dinosaurs were clearly even better designed for the task of survival, and that in any disaster of any nature or cause we humans die in droves: Why are we still alive and dinosaurs are not?

11) How could humans have survived a big rock falling out of the sky, striking the Earth with the force of thousands, if not millions of megatons, causing a blastwave that would have encircled the entire globe several times, followed by several years of nuclear winter, whilst lava, rocks and other pieces of the Earth itself that were thrown up into the air and orbit are falling out of the sky causing superfires at best and massive widespread impact damage at worst (imagine shotgunning a ball with incendiary shells for two years straight), all whilst literal acid rain is falling... Imagine the apocalypse, imagine armageddon, and tell me: How did we survive when they could not?

"So, it's defeat for you, is it? Someday I must meet a similar fate..."
