I think the US will go on to win and reach the quarter finals, while any team should be rightly proud of reaching the last 8 I do think its dissapointing to need a penalty to grind a result against Ghana - the US are ranked much higher and are not living up to the rank.

Yes I know lots of teams havent, England have been appalling, France were frankly a joke etc - Im just saying Bradley must have been over the moon to face Ghana instead of Germany but it hasnt worked out the walk over we all thought it would be for the USA.

America did their country proud, many didnt think they would get through the group let alone nearly make the last 8 - a good game!

We have seen the early goal conceded by the States time and again, what impresses me is their heads never drop - they look to see how they can get back into the game.

You saw the difference between US and Eng, when we scored the US picked themselves up and tried to win, when US scored we looked like we were merely concentrating on not getting an embarrising loss against our names.

This is the last showing for Englands so called golden generation - should have won the world cup in 2002 (crashed out due to a ridiculous goal against eventual winners Brazil) performed awfully in 2006 and have made a shakey start to put it mildly to 2010, think alot of players are going to be dropped after this world cup to hopefully bleed in a few young lions.

In 2002 you had the likes of Seamen, Neville, Ferdinand, Cole, Beckham, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Owen plus most of the current line up on the bench. Seamen, Neville, Beckham, Cole and Owen are all out of the National team, Lampard, Gerrard, David James, Heskey should all be out at the end of this tournament.
