If you cancel week 0, the war starts week 48. If you cancel week 4, the war starts week 52. Thus making it a 48H NAP. 48 hours after the cancellation

A 48 Hour NAP expires 48 hours after it's cancelled. That's why it's a 48 hour NAP. That's the way it's always worked, pals.

No matter how you work this, it always winds up the same. If you wanna hate for anything, hate because I didn't tell you about your mistake. It was sneaky, but it certainly wasn't illegal. It was sneaky in the same way that saving in advance for a NAP cancellation is sneaky. It's looked down upon, but perfectly within the rules.

Also similar to cancelling on a family that is already at war (and still at war). Sneaky, but not illegal.

I would NEVER break a NAP. There was one occasion about a year ago where I voided a NAP, but then I had cause (I won't get into that one).  Suffice it to say that I will always play by the rules. But if you give me an opportunity like that, I will seize it to the best of my ability (which is apparently, sorely lacking).

Didn't read that. Apologies to 09 and to 06. This NAP had different terms from normal NAPs.

EDIT: I am wrong. I accept full responsibility. It was my idea, and my decision. I always sign NAPs with "standard terms", but for this NAP, we had written out specific terms. These terms outline very clearly. My mistake was in thinking that this NAP was like all other NAPs I have ever signed.
