Iran's regime is falling apart from the inside out. If a war is provoked, it would only knack the movement that wants a change.
If you don't want another warzone that you can't leave cause of bombings and different factions fighting eachother, starting a war there is not the best option.

In short: I disagree with your agressive "Die Iran Die!" stance. tongue

I am in support of the solution that prevents Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and transitions power to a more peaceful regime. I am fully in support of the idea of the nuclear powers monopolizing nuclear technology, and preventing any new nuclear power from emerging, with force if necessary.

I'm not sure if a US or UN attack on Iran would mobilize the people behind the government, as WFS said above.  However, an Israeli attack on Iran would definitely do exactly that.  While there may be mixed feelings in regard to Iranian feelings toward the US, the Israel issue is seen as a direct threat to Iranian existence.

That being said, this might be an effort to exert pressure on the US.  "Iran's going down one way or another.  Which of us is going to do it?"

Iran has agreed to get its uranium enriched in Turkey a few weeks ago, no?
