i dont think anyone cheated. i did have one pnap and Emii was lucky to have one cuz I was lazy. He could have got killed off. However, in my view, there is not MANY players playing seriously in one man SD...I am guessing probably about 20 players doing it right in their strats. I noticed a lot didnt laser properly or less active, they get killed off easily. Supposedly, there is 100 out of 170 players know what to do, it would be a little better, altho the round should last a little longer if it wasnt short.
What if you start the round with 25 exploships but you aint allowed to build anymore, then, in a smaller map, people would use them wisely, and attacks would be increased to gain planets appart from the ones you can explore.
Even more, and this could go directly to ideas, when you kill an empire in SD all his remaining explo ships are now yours, so people will think it twice to stock them for an EOR size jump
Also, and to make this idea have some sense, a player is not allowed to delete his empire until he has earned more than 50 planets. That will make any player actually play the gal, and the only deletions will be done as an strategical suicidal move after raiding someone else.
wtf mods let me design the next SD round and you'll have a competitive one for sure, I know all the ingredients to make it happen
would be pretty fun to have a galaxy with varying situations each round that requires adapting and new strategies/slightly different playing styles
Render, those expo things you say are not working..
just make the map smaller, no DS and sure you will have a lot of fights going on..
and do something like this: 100 people means 200 systems or something..

hmmm true, forget about what I said about giving explos to the player who kills other, it could be abused by attacking early on inactives.
But still not allowing to build anymore explo than the given, I think it is a good idea
why aren't you allowed to explore? that doesn't make sense..
if you have a small gal with 2 systems a player you will get more fights..
exploring is part of the game...
You're getting me wrong, I didnt mean that, I say everyone is allowed to explore, but you have only 25 eships and you cannot build anymore. So in a tiny map this setup is really hardcore.
It all depends on the map size, so lets say, for 100 people a 200 systems map, thats a ratio of 2 systems per player, so 50 eships could be a good number, and you have to look forward to use them wisely, because when you have no more explos your only chance is being agressive to gain more planets.
