Topic: The Azuma and Denorian war

first story online so bear with me if it seem kinda crudely put together but it's one battle that a character of mine goes through later on since I'm still writing her earlier exploites in private for a much larger purpose but this is one of the later events. big_smile

    Yamashiro star system, unknown galaxy....

The Kyoto's klaxons had started going off but Aki had already anticipated the reason for the alarm, the time for battle had finally come. The enemy hadn't come across any resistance from the Azuma allied planets, and for good reason the Azuma had already evacuated their neighbors from all surrounding star systems to mount this last line of defense against a more advanced and aggressive species of aliens. Aki wasn't surprised at all the enemy had been at their doorstep for more than a day before they jumped into the Yamashiro system.
They had attacked without any reason and or provocation and destroyed all diplomatic vessels. This enemy had destroyed and exterminated several allies already before Aki, Kazuma and Ishkimura decided to evacuate all allied planets except for four, and now was the moment of truth. Aki with her heavily outnumbered fleet of 145,613 Yakuza ships against an entire space navy of possibly millions.
(I wonder how I got in this mess.) Aki mused to herself.
"Aki Slipstream portal opening off our bow." Kazuma warned.
"Lock all weapon batteries and fire as they come through!" She ordered, Aki had been lucky the Srolians and Aigonons had been willing to share weapons tech with her after they fled from the doomed milkyway galaxy now was the time to put it to good use. "Make sure they get to taste the Temporal torpedoes and nukes first."
"My pleasure, you heard her let those bastards have it!"
    "Weapons away Kazuma sempai."
The entire fleet had been waiting for this moment and now slipstream portals, weapons fire and heavy ordnance explosions lit up the space between the Azuma fleet and the enemy main fleet. The Kyoto class frontline battleships started turninig broadside for their first withering barrage of all-batteries fire. Some enemies vaporized while others looked as if they were aging fromthe inside out while surviving enemies brought up their shields and returned fire. The battleships finally positioned themselves and and let loose a colosal barrage of projectile, ordnance and raw energy fire in hopes of quashing a number of enemies, but the number of enemy ships kept growing until Aki had to issue the order she thought she wouldn't have to give again.
"Aki you're not thinking what I think you're thinking?!" Kazuma asked in alarm.
"What, it's not like we're not starting to get massecred anyways," Aki spat in total sarcasm, "we've lost more than a quarter of our fleet in the first minute, we might as well kill as many of them as possible before they wipe us out."
"Kso! Aki you'll regret later and you know it."
"Just fire em, and no I won't."
"Damn it! Lock onto as many enemy star systems and fire all singularity and nova ISBM's, that order is for all ships carrying em.
    "Targets locked firing!"
"Ma'am, we've just depleted our stockpile of railgun ammo!"
"Fine shutdown all railgun systems and give more power to the transphasic and multiphasic armour!"
"No good! We've already received hull breaches!"
Aki watched as sparks started to shower the entire bridge and again thought about how she got herself in this mess. (Those damned missiles are taking their precious time getting into slipstream!) Aki thought to herself in anger and frustration.
"Ma'am all ISBM's have locked on their targets birds away!" Gin the bomber as he was known by his friends said.
"How many did we lose?" Aki asked.
    "56 the other ships I haven't a clue."
"How will we know if it works?" Kazuma asked.
"One of two ways, one they leave to try and intercept or two they intensify their attack." Aki shrugged. "All ships in the fleet prepare to do a fleet wide kamikaze attack! All weapons blazing!"
A few ships hit their targets before the enemy could shoot them down, and a few were destroyed before they could hit. This was the bloodiest and most sidewayed fiasco Aki had the displeasure of running at least until they saw enemy slipstream portals open up and enemies portaling out of the system.
"I guess that answers that question." Aki muttered.
"Yeah, and you were lucky it worked or we would have been done!" Kazuma drilled her, "If it didn't we would have been completely wiped out, and now you have to worry about being tried as a war criminal.
"Well I would prefer to live and be tried as a war criminal than die without a chance howabout you!

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

This probably would be somwhat how it would go. but the Azuma is the most powerful crime organization ruling the western portion of the U.S. in the 24th century. The early portion of this story that I'm writing happens to do with the U.S. mob wars, many of your law abiding citizens and government is living in platform cities that happen to stand above all the old cities.

In the early portion of the story it starts out in a war torn San Francisco where crime runs rampant. this portion of the story though is something that will happen once me and a friend start doing a cross over series between his and my stories so this actually happens in the universe his story takes place in.

I'll try to get more done later on.

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

6 hours later...

Aki watched out the space dock window as the Kyoto was taking on repairs still pondering her position in this so called war. Everyone on this side of the galaxy was pretty much outmatched technology wise by their unknown nemesis with the exception of the Srolians who were atleast 90 million years advanced, but they weren't always looking into the weapons tech. The only thing good in their arsenal was the temperal torpedoes, a weapon that could pass through enemy shields and once they hit they aged the target from the inside out as they exploded. This weapons current state had a limited capability though, so she had someone researhing a more destructive weapon based on the current torpedoe so it would be a one shot kill in the anti-shipping area.
The ship class for the test run for the experimental torpedoe though would be an oni classed destroyer though but would be reclassified as the first Yamatai class torpedoe destroyer. Aki decided she wanted to be the one commanding it on it's trial run, if they could hold out long enough. It was said to have at most fifty torpedoe tubes on the fore section alone and twenty each on both the starboard and port sides and then ten on the ventral and dorsal sections making it the most well armed ship in the fleet. The ship also included transphasic and multiphasic armour three sets of main and two sets of auxillary shields and several point defense laser turrets to make it the most fortified ship in the fleet. The Yamatai as it was named was going to be practically on par with the Kyoto frontline battleships even for it's smaller size.
The research team also deemed it necessary to put an engine on the Yamatai that would keep it in pace with the oni class destroyers in speed and add on eight more RCS thrusters so the ship would still handle like an oni class.
"She'll be a fine ship once we finish the TCAT project." Ro'jen said.

Note:(TCAT=Temporal Chaos Annihilator Torpedoe) Now Known as (TTPCT=Temporal Transphasic Phase Cloak Torpedoe)

"I don't know I think we might have to pull her into combat a bit earlier than expected and arm her with a full compliment of normal temporals." Aki answered.
"Worried you might lose the battle without it?" Ro'jen asked.
"Let's just say I really didn't think about adding very many torpedoe ships in my fleet, and I really need everything I have in my arsenal." Aki told Ro'jen.
"You know Ykura won't be particularily thrilled about this y'know."
"Well everyone can't always have what they want now can they?"
Aki turned her head away from the viewport and smirked at Ro'jen and turned back to watch the last bit of retrofitting going into the modified Oni destroyer.
"If thats the case I might as well modify plenty of your torpedoes to have a longer range then," Ro'jen offered. "at the very least you'll be using the ship at the range it was meant to be used."
"If you do you might want to rename those too." Aki told her.
"It will be a weapon in between both variations so it'll be named accordingy then, how's Temporal Chaos torpedoe sound?"
"I guess it'll have to do but remember they need to be used in close ship to ship combat too since I like getting in at point blank ranges." Aki suggested to her.
"It's your ship I can't tell you what to do with it." Ro'jen shrugged.
Kazuma came up to both of them and waved Ro'jen away, and he was pretty pissed.
"I don't think anyones going to follow us if we keep blowing up entire starsystems Aki." he started in.
"We're starting up this topic again?" Aki asked annoyed. "I told you I was buying us time and I did, it doesn't mean I'm going to keep on doing it." Aki waved one arm in frustrated gesture.
"I don't know how you can live with yourself."
"What?! when you were working for my father you had no problems blowing people up, and burning them alive in their homes so whats so different about vaporizing a couple of starsystems?" Aki casually asked.
"It was a job and it had to do with far less people then you're killing, theres a word for what your doing you know." Kazuma scolded her.
"Yeah then you might want to remember what they did to some of our allies and they actually succeeded in wiping out certain races in our alliance."
Kazuma didn't have a comeback for her.
"Speechless? Fine then this conversation is over with, we might be friends but don't push me there's only so much criticism I can take."
Aki walked away and didn't even bother to look back, she didn't have to to know what his face looked like right now. Aki came out into a corridor outside the viewport doors and headed in the direction of the anti grav lifts, when she got there her cell rang and before she could say hello she was getting an ear full from Ykura.

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

a little crude. When having such long conversation you might also slip in something about the surroundings.

Keep at it though, my work is worse big_smile

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

Ykura was throwing a fit, and for good reason too she had just finish a new shield system that was built just for the Yamatai torpedoe destroyer and she gets a call from Ro'jen that Aki needs it before it's finished. So Ykura spent the last best part of a quarter hour rearranging the research and development lab, forcefully. Their was machining device lying in the left hand corner of the lab destroyed where she threw it, then there were chairs and tables strewn all about and shredded papers all over the floor. Ykura had too resist the urge to blast the room to oblivion with her energy blast attack so she did'nt kill herself and everyone else by accident. Aki came strolling in like nothing was amiss and Ykura had to resist beating Aki inti a big bloody smear.
"Aki what's this bullshit about you taking the ship out before it's finished?!!" She fumed at Aki.
"Wow, you really did a number to this room Ykura." Aki said changing the subject and staring at the mess as if she were just seeing it.
Ykura hated how Aki could just act like nothing was going on when she was hijacking Ykura's project, it was dispicable and Ykura wished she would stop it, there was the time awhile back when she also hijacked the MPA project, at least that worked out a bit better and Aki was lucky that the armour lasted for as long as it did.
"Aki, don't even try to change the subject!"
"Would'nt drteam of it, you said that there were a few things left to install on the ship?" Aki asked she was still looking at the mess Ykura had made and whistled to herself, Ykura guessed it was a godsend that Aki was listening at all.
"Yes if you just give me at least half a day the Chronometric shield generator could be installed and brought online, so I atleast won't have to worry about my project getting completely destroyed."
"I'll give you ten hours after that the Yamatai goes out whether it's installed or not." Ykura didn't think Aki would give her the time but she guessed it was better than nothing.
     "Thank you."

"Alpha Commander we've detected numerous nova explosions and singularities several lightyears off, all Azuma missiles have hit their marks." Ops officer Gic'nyu announced.
Ro'jen had waited for this moment since Aki's fleet launched the ISBM's several hours earlier. It seemed that a few adjustment were left until the Yamatai was ready to depart with the rest of the combined Azuma, Srolian and Aigonon fleets. Ro'jen had returned to to the K'lola to oversee the progress of the Azuma's tactical missiles so that she could ready her fleet for battle.
The K'lola's bridge crew seemed like they were in better spirits than they had been earlier. Though Srolians were'nt naturally aggressive the Srolian Imperial 9th tactical fleet was notorious for taking out an entire Aigonon Invasion force fleet while being outnumbered 5 to 1, so Ro'jen was'nt surprised that the men and women on her bridge cheered while a technologically advanced race was being obliterated by allied missile strikes no matter how primitive the weapons. Ro'jen had encouraged more aggresive and imaginative thinking than what was allowed in the regular Srolian fleet.
Ro'jen had made the choice earlier on to follow Aki's forces into the wormhole to provide a support role just in case she had needed a few more advisors to give advice, but it seemed several months later after they had made their first few allies this new enemy decided to rear it's ugly head and just after they had become trapped too.

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

9 hrs later:

Aki was standing on the bridge of the Yamatai and she was surprised to see Ykura was sitting at the engineering terminal but also that Ro'jen was also on the bridge.
"So any reason you ladies want to come along?" She asked,
"Yeah, I'm here so the Yamatai makes it back in one piece." Ykura said with a snort. "I know how you like to fight up close and personal without any regards for your ships or yourself."
"I'm only here to observe so you won't have to worry about me getting in the way." Ro'jen chimed in.
Kazuma and Ishkimura came through the bridges entrance Kazuma went to the weapons terminal, seemed he decided to take weapons for this mission. Ishkimura went to the helm.
"We have all crew aboard then?" She asked.
Kazuma turned towards her. "We're ready to depart Ojosama."
"I take it your calling me that to try and prove a point and annoy me?" Aki asked with a sigh. "well it's working, Ishkimura take us out."
     "yes' Aki san."
The Yamatai cleared the shipyard slowly and started for it's first target.

Re: The Azuma and Denorian war

The battleship haedor sprinted through navspace in its cloudy turbulence. It was moving at 50,000 times the speed of light, much slower than any chronian warship, but faster than their counterparts in the Yamatai starcluster.
Suddenly, missile warps beamed from off port several thousand light seconds away. The missiles entered navspace, engaged their navdrives, and pushed forward like large thermonuclear comets leaving trails of glittering gravtrons. In seconds, these missiles smashed into the heavy multiphasic armor of the battleship haedor. They didn't make a dent.
What they did do, was cause the haedor to change directions and began a singularity scan of all gravimetric distortions within fifty light seconds.
There.
It found a fleet, not a large fleet, but still a fleet of 100 warships with Yatamai signatures. The powerful ship began warping in other directions, as navmissiles from this small fleet, although small individually, there was enough of them to cripple the haedor. The haedor aimed its jasers, transphasers, and hyperbeams at the yamatai fleet.
Suddenly, the space between the two forces exploded with thousands of fiery dots and lines of missile and beam weapons crisscrossing inbetween the interstellar medium.
Somewhere, a Yamatai destroyer was hit by transphasers which collapsed its starboard weapon supply, causing titanic explosions to ripple across the entire hull. These explosions then detonated the fuel cells, which exploded like a new star temporarily blinding three other Yamatai cruisers in its inferno.
Somewhere else, a Yamatai battlecruiser felt the ongoing blast of hyperbeams smashing into is front shields, collapsing them, then entering the its multiphasic armor. The armor repelled the beams, but not enough to prevent the deaths of a hundred crewmen situated near the bow.
Elsewhere, a chrono torpedo passed through the point defense cannons of the battleship haedor and rippled its way into the port wing. It detonated, causing everything in the port wing to age by a million years. All life onboard turned instantly into skeleton and then to dust.
Such a blast also crippled the energy supply route from haedor's port engines, thus forcing the battleship haedor to blow its own port wing. The wing, which was ripped away like a forgotten limb, flashed brilliantly behind in navspace until it disappeared forever.
"Captain K'esla!" Cried a lieutenant in the bridge of the haedor. The bridge was massive and spacey, much larger and generous to eye than any of the other rooms onboard.
The captain, a mysterious man with a pale complexion, murmured, "Fire all weapons at the Yamatai fleet. Continue firing! Fire according to my priority targets. All hands maintain combat alert, I want all systems to report on their status, right now!"
"Yes, sir!" Replied the people on the workstations.
Captain K'esla was not a stupid man. Back in his junior trainee days, he had been called the phantom, for being able to be near death, and even pass it, and yet somehow arrive on the other side alive. Back in those days, he had fought and won numerous battles against the best of the best cadets in the Drilliers Officer's Academy.
K'esla tapped on his molecularite computer, and his thoughts were sent into the ship's targetting system. As of result, new Yamatai ships within the fleet were targetted by the haedor's weapons...
He could only wait to see if this action would result in him surviving the battle.
