The result will be the same. But then even better, big families now get the change to completely fill all the systems of the prefered enemy, 2 weeks to get a share in every single core system of your desired enemy! w00t!

And guess what happens after two weeks? Midfams completely rape the small fams, and the big fams completely rape the midfams! Result: a clutch of topfams, followed by a huge gab!

Possibly valid points Gekko but I was thinking that:
A. All of the families will have a chance to build their infra so they won't be the unprepared yuppies that top fams are used to

B. The smaller families will have the chance to make fleet to defend themselves knowing that at the end of the two weeks there's a really good chance someone will be attacking them

C. The bigger families will have to be careful choosing who to clear. They will get shares in other peoples "cores" but so will everyone else. They are going to have to choose what to clear first.

Why?  Because top families choose to explore and infiltrate smaller families systems as early as possible and destroy that families round with early attacks, some as early as the first 2 or 3 days of the round.




if no one is checking cores for intruders then its your own fault - takes 2 days to portal up at bor - no sympathy from me on this issue

lol Gekko is right though. Problem with big fams farming small fams is that small fams don't know how to build infra or aren't that active.

This is a start to bringing back balance to a game that is forcing new players out before they have a chance to experiance the game.

Mayhem sounds fun though I think what TYMO said was right also agree with Nolio and new peeps will get bashed to hell when those 2 weeks expire cause experienced attackers know how to attack and defend and they will crush the new players and they will even be more sad cause all tehy builded will be gone in like 1-2 days....

lets not be fools - us vets will win hands down every round - very little chance of new playes doing well unless there lucky with there random - virgo or the lack of virgo is where the real problem is

i remember a time in Andro when Brom declared expo over in the Congress, before he declared expo over there were barely no attacks. Once he did declare it over, some wars started but it wasn't the chaos as people in here think it will be. During expo, fams still napped ( with way smaller cores then today ) etc...Even top fams are limited to morale, 2 weeks into the round, there bankers aren't (fully) portalled either. They too are open for opps etc they can't just go hitting everyone unpunished, rest assured !

I think this idea is worth a try.

I think this idea will not work and I agree with Tymo and Mizzle, if small are owned in the beginning it's because they were not good enough to defend their cores and because the other fams were better and had a good strat from the beginning, if a small fam is good or it's prepared to secure core in the begging it can take care from any attacks from other fams and prepare a good start in the round, if not I think andro is not the galaxy from them and they should train in another galaxy's like Virgo, that I think it should prepare better new players so we don't have a new player that come from Virgo that don't knows how the game works, that happens a lot I think, so I vote for better preparation before entering other galaxy's like Andro tongue.

crap fams get owned at bor cos there crap - it would be worse for them to get owned later on which they will cos they put more work and effort into the round just for it to be destroyed later on -  i say let the crap be killed off at bor then the rest of us play on - every gal has a 3-5 top fams miles ahead of others - they are ahead becuase of one thing - there better than the rest !


top fams dont just wonder along and magically end up top after doing nothing.....

the problem is not crap fams and non good fams the problem is a family with 12 good active members will always own a family with 5 active members the way to deal with that is put into the moral loss on attack  another factor of family nw and planet count that way a cammar from a top family with 20 planets and all fleet nw will loose much more moral when attacking a banker from a family much smaller but with 100 planets... that way farming will be less of a factor and top fams will have to attack each other....


and maybe even a factor on the 35% of attack : someone from a fam twice as big can attack only ppl at 70% of their nw from the smaller family...

first thing id do is send attackers to explore right in core systems of every big fam....set very large laser traps.....then everyone is screwed tongue

Yeah, unfortunately, when I weigh all the outcomes, it's a horrible idea in this age of IC. However you have given me a good idea for something else. You guys can stop this petition now. This is NOT going to happen to andromeda:p
