Topic: Obama Regulates CO2

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8004975.stm

Yes wink Another string in Barack Obama's bow

The decision marks a major change from the Bush presidency, when the EPA argued it could not regulate CO2 because the gas was not a pollutant.

Can i just say how much of a retard is Bush seriously?

And i think its about time the US lead the fight in the "war" against global warming

btw: last topic of the day tongue

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

It's kind of scary how much power the federal government is taking on since Obama came into office.  Where are all the people who were calling Bush a fascist over the patriot act? If the economy sucks more people are dependent on the government helping the democrats maintain an electoral majority.

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

How is enforcing our current laws increasing federal powers?

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

Obama controls CO2? Does that mean I can breathe a certain number of times a day? After all Breathing releases more CO2 and is therefore the cause of "global warming"

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

That's funny.

I'm not going to talk about exhaling contributing to to global warming. If you believe it, then the reasons why it is a stupid claim will not make any impact.

Don't argue with a fool, others might not be able to tell the difference.

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

Obama is a weakling who has caved in to the demands of parasitic lobbyists allied to the Democratic party. Our air pollution may be substantial, but that's because of our mega large industry. Overall, people are exposed to negligible air pollution.

You can talk about global warming, but you won't have nearly as much of an effect on global warming unless you focus on China. Their industry is growing and they are making minimal effort to be efficient. In fact, a considerable number of their people live in unhealthy conditions.

You know what? Based on the evidence, it seems like environmentalists in the US are just seeking power and don't actually care about the environment, and the people who support them are mindless lemmings. Until you environmentalist elites/supporters shift your focus on sharing technology and raising standards in China and other emerging industrial powers, please do everyone a favor and stfu.

These regulations are new.

Looks like we should concentrate on the US, as well as China:

1      United States        6,049,435     22.2 %
2      China and  Taiwan     5,010,170     18.4 %
     European Union     4,001,222     14.7 %
3      Russia                     1,524,993     5.6 %
4      India                        1,342,962     4.9 %
5      Japan                        1,257,963     4.6 %
6      Germany                   860,522     3.1 %
7      Canada                    639,403     2.3 %
8      United Kingdom     587,261     2.2 %
9      South Korea          465,643     1.7 %
10      Italy                     449,948     1.7 %

Yes I know about per capita, and fast growth - but 6mill is still the sinlge largest figure

Re: Obama Regulates CO2

I would argue this point severely. The right KNOWS Carbon Dioxide is not the source of the used to be global warming.

The sun is out of sun spots, hope you bought warm clothes.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Yeah, well look at the EU lol. Trading industrial efficiency for less pollution, when in fact we are the most industrial country and we meet Western standards, while ignoring China, seems like a big power play if you ask me. I mean, what can you expect the US to do? Have extremely high pollution regulations compared to European states, or to reduce its industrial capacity? While you could have the US meet European standards, we aren't far behind and that would have a very marginal effect.
