Topic: [ A Rant ]

I would just like to say...

...this game has gone to shit. No, really -- its beyond a joke. The
players are dishonest and rude, vultures consider themselves
"awesome", fams war other fams in order to kill and rape, grudges
are held and the game is about total dominance -- something that
really does ruin the community we once had.

Now i'm not glorifying the 'good old days', now am i calling myself
a vet or cool or honourable (in this game) even, but i am saying that
years ago certain things wouldn't have happened.

And the players (and lack there of) aren't entirely to blame either:

The mods/fmods are generally inactive, Stefan is a runawayboob,
and changes to the game have mostly been screw ups (Camaars?
Thats just asking for trouble...).

Okay, so this was a pretty short and incoherent rant...but by point
stands: This game has gone to shit. For shame.

Agreed.

There are still some players who are what I would consider honourable but the vast majoritly are just complete knobbers.

This game has so many people out to prove a point these days.  All you read in uni news is people bitching about other people and guys like Tryme and Cloud beefing themselves up all the time.

A shame indeed.  sad

Yeah, when I look back at past rounds and compare them to this round, it's a huge difference. So many things that happened this round wouldn't have been tolerated long ago.

Since you can call this a rant thread tongue

You know what grinds my gears? You Imperial Conflict! As a game you are dated and stale! You're admin's attempts to change things typically fail (abysmally) or the players/Mods can never get a response from him.

There were steps that could have been taken to enforce a more "honorable" game play style. Sure it could be abused, but who's to say that abuse would be worse then the current game play?

and what's the deal with Virgo? I've tutored there since it opened and i've got to say, 95-98% of the people who enter Virgo only leave when the inactive script kills them. It's main purpose is to keep Multi's out and I'm sure it does to a degree. But last round there was a player with 18 accounts spread throughout Capri so it's not working that well.
Just killing off the people who might be interested in staying with the game if they had joined a family in the main gals that has people who are even half active

and thats what grinds my gear. Sit ubu, good dog

I have only ''ever'' been inactive ''twice'', as i told you a loada times smile  One time i was far to busy with college and a girlfriend who had issues - that was with Archangel and smartz for ICC. the 2nd was in ICPG where the entire fam went inactive so i did the same. So blow it out your ass talkin crap smile

You bitch about anyone thats not overly popular amongst the PW community for w/e reason, be it they're unknowns or they've argued with the 'in crowd'. Bite your tongue till you've a clue pal. Best thing to do when you repeatedly get it wrong. I have deleted a lot recently yep, never contested that. But you know im free to delete if i aint enjoying myself, thats why the option is there you plank. What it all boils down to is; I was in a fam with you, i was the backbone once again because nobodys ever active in PW, i got tired of doing the dirty work and reaping none of the rewards so left and you were stuck on your lonesome because you were all bogged down in honor issues ^^

Juz is a good player when he is in the right environment, he is a lot like cloud, likes to be in an active family that he can work with and have fun. but still, it would be better if you didn't delete so much.

Hmmm.

Juz you are the one that singled me out in this thread, don't get all defensive when I tell you what I think of you, otherwise you should just stop posting.

Also, I don't call you stupid or insult your intelligence I just state facts gathered from my experience with you.  How about you take a chill pill and swallow your pride.  Three rounds in a row in PW i've experienced negative things about you, and nothing positive, i'm sure you would come to the same conclusion I have.

I am only loyal to my current fam and people I am friends with from previous rounds.  I am un-biased when it comes to who is 'popular' or 'unpopular' in IC.

I did stop posting for a long time actually.. because i dislike the whining and bitching that comes with uni news. Though of course i still browsed threads because i need to stay on top of recent happenings so i can make sure my family dont walk into anything crappy. I dont think i've played in same fam/allied to you 3 times o_o but alright fair enough, not exactly an unfair way of approaching things.

You guys are right about the forum flame wars being a drawback to imperialconflict. I think the flamewars are a byproduct of a declining (or nonexistant) culture. Gondor I'm one of the 5-2% that continued after Virgo. You helped me move along and I learned as much as I could before being drafted into an active and honorable family (1563) Unfortunately I could not remain in that family and I was separated. I wonder if people deleted because they were defeated in wars in the early times of this game?
