Topic: Do you think Obama will use nukes?

I am wondering if you think Obama will use nukes in the coming civil war/world war.

Opinions?

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

yes he will.. every house known to be inhabitet by a republican will be nuked.
he will also get help from russian nukes.. thats why he is abandoning missile shield now.. he needs russian nukes to nuke u away flint.
He also is supporting North Korea so they can throw in their nukes too big_smile

Also he will import shitloads of persian special forces who will infiltrate all your homes.. jobs.. everything.

After that is done.. he will follow his plan an abandon all american economy so china can grow more.

I think that means nuclear weapons. And nuclear delivery systems. And missle subs, four-engine bombers, and I'm guessing the Selective Service.

I think Obama will sell some of the nukes to generate money to stimulate the economy while simultaneously creating jobs to increase production and make up for the nukes he just sold.  Actually reading that a second time it doesn't seem like a terrible idea aside from giving someone else nuclear weapons but if you sold them to an ally shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Strategic nukes?  Hell no.  Way too damaging to international relations  and trade.

Tactical nukes?  Possibly, but only in very specific instances.  For example, taking out Iranian nuclear facilities... (would be justified as a preemptive nuclear strike against military-only targets).  In the particular case of Iran, I would guess that the US would be able to take advantage of support from European nations that fear Iran and that have supported the US in harsh action against them, such as France.

I think the US is more likely to use some of its newer weapons to take down its enemies.  An example would be the E-bomb (it was heard that this would be deployed during the Iraq war, but it never came to fruition), an electromagnetic pulse weapon that would disable enemy electronics throughout a particular blast radius.

No, but logistics and vehicles are kind of important for enemy armies.  It wouldn't be effective against, say, a terrorist with an AK-47, but against a massive Russian assault force, it could stop an army dead in its tracks.

I agree with Clancy that the political force involved in nukes renders ALL nukes "strategic weapons"

You mean the electronic sights and/or IR/laser pointers won't work? Because most weapons are mechanically operated with simple chemical reactions to propel projectiles. Iron sights are not affected by electromagnetic pulses. Sorry, I just don't understand what this comment is supposed to say. If you were being sarcastic, I withdraw.
