Topic: Kamoria: Silent Returns

NOTE: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND IS WRITTEN ONLY WHEN I FEEL LIKE WRITING IT.

Prologue

"We're almost there," Captain Silent said to himself as he stared out the thick windows that separated him from the void outside.  There were so many stars outside and Silent could only imagine how many people could be out there, how many more worlds were out there that harbored the human race and how many more there were of other exotic races.  He looked forward to the new places he might encounter.  To many, he was an adventurer, a dedicated explorer, and a pioneer of his people.

And he had to be.  It had been a millennium since his civilization was founded on the planet of Kamor by his late ancestors who fled a sector of space to create their utopia without any threats opposing its existence.  Not only had they succeeded, but they flourished on a new world abundant with resources that would have driven most other worlds mad with war.  It only seemed to be more of destiny to the people as it was discovered that the neighboring worlds also harbored such abundance, if not more abundance.  War for the Kamoku Kumori, as they were originally called, soon became nonexistent as opposing sentient life had diminished.

However, that did not stop the Kamorians, as they now refer to themselves, from training for war or maintaining the ideals and martial arts of their predecessors.  As the centuries went by, the Kamorians expanded into neighboring systems as the population rapidly increased, which then resulted in an influx of resources, which further caused an influx of infrastructure, technology, and military capabilities.  It seemed to be an endless cycle that caused the Silent family to be revered throughout the Kamorians as saviors of humanity.

As such, Captain Valkarin Silent was going to uphold his family name.  Although his family is no longer in absolute control of his people, they still made a living in the military aspect of life.  In fact, Valkarin Silent is a direct descendant of Alexander Silent, the famed admiral of the First Great War in the Sol System where he fought for the Core Alliance and nearly drove the Federation into ruin.  It was Alexander that formed the Kamoku Kumori and it was his dream that created PATRIA.  However, it was his children that led the people to their new homeworld of Kamor.  Now, it was Valkarin that was going to lead his people back.  The coordinates to the old systems were kept for an entire millennium so that the Kamorians would someday reveal themselves and bring on its knees the worlds that fell to corruption and faithlessness.

"Sir," the First Pilot said, "We're approaching our safe-zone.  We're ready for your order."

A smirk came across Valkarin's face.  "Activate it."  The large warship, three times the size of the ancient Kamoku Kumori carriers, slowed down until its velocity reached zero.  Valkarin now crossed his arms as he watched three pyramid-like devices protrude themselves from the ship - one from the front, two from the top end of the vessel.  They glowed with a bright, and nearly blinding, energy and within a few seconds, the devices fired five continuous beams (two more devices were apparently placed on the underside) at a single point in space.  This focus of energy caused a massive white ball similar to an explosion as a spheric seismic wave was shot outwards.

Yet, the ship remained un-phased by the wave.  Valkarin grinned as he beheld the result of the reaction - a planet-sized vortex of red, blue, and purple, with a white center.  Centuries of research, centuries of perfecting the devices of PATRIA, centuries of perfecting human technology and warfare, were now going to be used for the ideals of the Kamorians.  Capt. Silent can only imagine the surprise of his people's cousins as they beheld an armada of a thousand mountainous warships, with hundreds of millions of soldiers, and enough firepower to lay waste to entire systems.  With a firm, but excited voice, Captain Valkarin Silent gave the order, "Commence invasion."

Chapter One

Dozens of columns of smoke billowed upwards into the purple-green sky as the fires raged throughout the city.  Blackened craters littered the formerly red earth.  Wails and screams echoed between the buildings; men, women, children, and babies were their origins.  Yet, in the distance, there was sound not resulting from destruction, but the arrival of it: footsteps.

A thousand footsteps marching in unison and the wails of the men, the women, and the children seemed to be silenced as they heard the sound of feet on earth.  One teenage boy peered from behind the orange-colored tree and observed the origin of this new sound

I sense Riddick:p but you dont recruit like they did. Burning land wont work for ever:p just to let you know;)

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Kamoria: Silent Returns

Riddick? :\  I haven't seen Riddick in a very long time. I had these black armored soldiers before Riddick. :\
