Topic: Stories fer Pirates
![]()
stories fer pirates, new notion, I dunno if anyone else has done this yet, but I'm hopin' this is th' first, and a bottle of rum! If not, oh well.
I want this t' be a seri'us thread or I will convince Gwynedd an' Eltie t' help me keep it seri'us. Nay goofin' off, at least, not ridiculously so, like, "I flew t' th' storm t' calm it with me super storm preventin' powers" hell no, pass the grog, Avast me hearties! But if 'tis comical, like, gallows humor, feel free.
The notion is that I write a paragraph, th' next person writes a paragraph, th' next person writes a paragraph, th' next person write a paragraph an' so on...an' we will create a story (hopefully) out o' it, Dance the Hempen Jig
Edit: Oh yes, I'd prefer it if we kept this thread updated on thursdays only
And I also wanted to add in, by the previous paragraph, I meant for the next person to continue the story, from the captain's point of view or a swabbie or first mate or whomever. Preferably first mate, captain or a deckhand.
Oh, and if you all do what I asked, do it on thursdays and continue the story, it'll be pretty amusing ![]()
"...The winds were blowin' up a storm, th' vanguard o' th' beast that were bein' t' come, ya bilge rat! Shiver me timbers! In all me years o' sailin' th' se'en seas I've ne'er seen anythin' like this. Me laddies an I were fightin' with all we had, and a bucket o' chum. Our sister ship, th' Ocean's Fury sank t' th' bottom o' th' sea with all hands cept fer three swabbies we saved."
'Cap'n!' said me first mate.
'What? I'm tryin' t' save our hides here, lad.'
'Cap'n, th' portside! Check th' portside!'
'Aye, lad.' I walked o'er t' th' rail an' saw it, th' ragin' beast that were bein' contained in a cell that could no longer hold back that great monster, Dance the Hempen Jig
'Stison!' I called me first mate.
'Aye, Cap'n.'
'Where's th' Ocean's Fury?'
'It were bein' right behind us, Cap'n, I swear me life on it.'
A call from th' front o' th' ship reached it way t' us, 'Cap'n! th' Ocean's Fury is in front o' us an' she be bein' dragged t' th' heart o' th' storm!'
I walked o'er t' th' rail an' sat thar starin' helplessly at th' sky...
