Topic: Democratic National Convention

It started today, as you probably know... Michelle Obama's speech being highly antecipated, as well as the tribute to Sen. Ted Kennedy.

Day one should be pretty calm I suspect, with the high point being Mrs. Obama's speech.

Anything particular you guys looking for out of the Convention?

Curious. With the near 4500 delegates assigned to attend the convention, that'd turn out to be worse than 9/11. You guys are great patriots big_smile

Gotta say, I was impressed that Kennedy gave a speech at the DNC, even if it was a short one.  While I'm not really in agreement over politics... it is quite impressive that he would bring himself out of a sickbed to give a speech there.

They were giving a little background, Kennedy came to the convention against his wife's and his doctor's wishes...when he was there, they told him for his health he didn't have to make a speech..he said he wanted to
they provided him a stool, to sit and relax while he gives his speech, he comes, stiff, fine as ever tongue, stands the whole time, and makes a great speech, I didn't see many dry eyes in the crowd..and michelle obama's speech was even better
