  Normally I would agree, 100%.

  This round is different in that Pie will be able to open up more players per family once all existing families are full. This round alone we removed (I think) 7 players from our family. I think the theory is that there are quite a few more players that would love to play, but really can't. 
  Since it is a reshuffle, a short round, and there are tons of planets for smaller empires to squabble over. Late joining vets and total noobs alike are slated to rock a new solid late joining race, and have planets left to play with.
  In a larger sense, the truly veteran player picks that one person that really complements them, has a draft handy, and because of this has more time to teach a new crop of players joining all through the reshuffle. More people seeing players with all their shit worked out smoothly, the more they are gonna like the game.

  If the goal was to just be the best team possible (for me) I would just let Random lead, and join his team. Barring that, I would (without a doubt) play with you and William. However, I am committed to bringing along more players and would love to see you and William both agree on a "younger" draft pick and *be* one of those players/fams bringing along new ones.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

   Wouldn't it be nice to have more then the same 50 players to play with?

   Try thinking a bit more long term!
   2 man teams to start would work as well, don't be shy! Simply suggest whatever you think would be best for player base growth.

That's all good dark, I'm not asking you to change it, I just don't enjoy short rounds as much, I was already pretty uninterested in playing next round without a very specific family,  3 man teams and short round sealed the deal.  I'll be back,I always come back smile

  It's a proposal for a fam to *start* with a matched pair, and have a draft available through the next reshuffle.
I thought this was clearly posted in the Uni discussion. smile  Each family should have 6-7 players to start.

Perhaps this thread is.. idk.. confusing?

Fams *START* with a matched pair, and have a draft available through the next reshuffle.

There is GOBS of room for joiners (kinda the point).

The proposed round is fast to get more people in, involved, and start over with a bit of chemistry in the fam.
