Definitely on topic.  I agree, diplo is critical.  I've changed attack plans before just because the target ended up being cool about it.

IC breeds attitudes and ego for sure, but when people put effort into being diplomatic it can pay off big time.

Think I've been in the same boat, in my last round I offered a fam we were beating a nap, they replied aggresively so I decided to utterly destroy them for it (they were also never gunna sign a nap and had 0 chance of winning)
So it works both ways.

I've also won a round 90% because of Diplo, also made a lot of friends in other fams that round.

But hey, stfu I'm awesome and I'd rather ruin your round pie you betrayer.
