Topic: Welfare Research

My welfare research in the last 14 hours went from 20% (ish) to 36%.
On the planets screen it says my planets can accomodate another 15% pop (85% full) but since morning, my pop didn't change.
Shouldn't it be taken into account every tick like economy, construction and other research types, not only once (i just guessining that it i happens once).

Welfare science only gets updated once per day, so the effects will not be immediate.

It used to be that welfare took about 20 minutes to update the welfare research outputs.  During that time, the game was 100% inaccessible.

However, the process has been improved since then.  I'm not sure how long the downtime is... if it even exists anymore.  However, whatever it is, it's much less than it was 10 years ago.  Depending on the server stress created, it might not be unreasonable to modify welfare research to update every tick nowadays.
