Topic: New owner!

Greetings minions,

It's not often I post here, but I just wanted to tell the masses that Imperial Conflict has a new overlord - I_like_pie.

Many of you already know him, a longtime player, occasional mod and/or dev. As such, I am confident he will be able to take care of the game. Hopefully he will also be able to invest a bit of time in it, something I have not been able to for many years.

It's been a long ride, starting all the way back in 1999, with lots of excitement, a ton of players, and a fair bit of hard work. Some of you probably already know this, but the game was actually my full-time occupation for an admittedly fairly short time (~half of 2001). Later, things calmed down, with the odd burst of development. The team of moderators is what kept the game running (mostly) smoothly all this time, along with help from a few developers.

I hope to see the game still alive and doing well for many years to come! Over and out.

Hello all!

Firstly, many many thanks to Squirrel for trusting me to take on this responsibility.  This is a bittersweet moment, but I'm excited and motivated to be stepping in and putting my energy into the game.

What does this mean for you, the player?  For the time being, nothing drastic.  There is some prep and operational work to be done before you will notice anything different within the actual game itself.  The first step in all of this is making sure the transition of ownership goes smoothly, which means as little disruption as possible to the game during this process.

That said, there are definitely changes on the way long term.  I'll keep you all in the loop, and in the meantime please do make use of the feedback forum.  We have alot of work to do and new places to go while staying true to the spirit of the game that we all know and love.

I'm looking forward to what lies ahead.
